The Koi Immortal Lord Was Lured Away by a Psychotic Emperor

As the least noticeable of the fourteen princes, Meng Yi chose an unconventional path in the struggle for power:

He wouldn't compete or make a fuss. He'd lie low until the end.

He chose to return to his mother's hometown, Qing'ai Pass, to observe mourning for three years. Now, only a month remained before he could return to the capital.

One day, he went to fish beside a pond shaded by crimson maple leaves, just to pass the time.

Who could have guessed that he wouldn't catch a fish, but instead hook an immortal who had fallen from heaven, his whole body steaming with heat?

The other tried to escape, speaking rudely. "You mortal, you're not the only one in the world whose fortune has been stolen. I have more people to help."

Meng Yi forcibly bound him. "I only want you to work for me."

Little did he know he'd struck gold. The immortal really was a koi fish reborn, and from then on, little strokes of good luck kept coming his way~

The immortal saw a feast fit for an emperor and cheered! Meng Yi had been made Crown Prince!

But then the immortal tried to escape and got caught, and cried. Meng Yi had been targeted by an assassin and nearly ended up dead in the street.

Meng Yi had an epiphany: "The immortal's mood determines whether fortune is good or bad."

After ascending the throne, Meng Yi began keeping the immortal tied to his side, confining him in the inner palace as his empress.

Cheng Zhiming tried to escape, so Meng Yi coaxed him gently from outside the palace doors. "The lychees sent as tribute from Lingnan are sweet and fresh today. Would Your Immortality care to try one?"

Cheng Zhiming grew angry, and Meng Yi approached with a report in hand. "We won this battle. Could it be that Your Immortality secretly blessed me?"

Cheng Zhiming sat quietly without a word. Meng Yi bent to pick up the knot that had slipped loose. "Binding you is selfish of me... but if I let go, I'm afraid this empire will fall apart."

When the koi-fish fortune carried by Cheng Zhiming swept through the three realms, drawing gods and demons into a contest and igniting conflict across the six realms,

the young emperor in the room pulled the immortal, who was always trying to escape, close and pointed his sword at the countless enemies beyond the palace.

"His fortune is borrowed by me.

I bound him with my own hands.

Anyone who dares touch him again..."

"I will kill with my own hands."
