I Became a Foolish Disciple of a Master

Every year, the gods in Heaven pick an unlucky area and designate it as a place where they can rack up merit.

Yunming University, situated at a convergence of the world's spiritual energy, becomes the unlucky target, instantly turning into a gathering place for souls from across the country.

Fox immortal Zhang Lian, one year short of the work experience he needs, arrives at the university and vows to diligently complete his superior's assignments so he can attain immortality as soon as possible.

Heaven smiles on him. The God of Love, Yue Lao, gives him a magic treasure: find an unlucky disciple to share the burden.

Meng Xiaoyin is an ordinary, straightforward, chuunibyou, lovestruck male college student. By chance, he finds a master through the school's confession wall.

He figures he'll give it a try. Unexpectedly, he really does unlock and level up his talent, becoming a talisman-drawing expert. He also leads his roommates in starting a professional team and making a fortune.

Clutching his first earnings, Meng Xiaoyin clings to the big shot's leg and pleads, "I've struck gold! Master, teach me more! Getting rich soon is totally possible!"

The aloof master Zhang Lian firmly refuses to date within the office.

But after fighting side by side again and again, Zhang Lian realizes he's fallen hopelessly in love with Meng Xiaoyin. Who doesn't love a cute gong?

Whether he's in love or not isn't the point. Meng Xiaoyin turns out to be the reincarnation of his enemy from a past life.

Later, after Meng Xiaoyin's seal is broken,

Zhang Lian rubs his forehead. "It's bad enough running into the reincarnation of my enemy. But now I've even ended up underneath him..."

Meng Xiaoyin rolls over and pins Zhang Lian beneath him, a powerful possessiveness in his seductive gaze.

Meng Xiaoyin: "Old friend, I gave you my subordinates to help you earn merit. When are you going to give me my reward?"

A bold, domineering red-haired youth gong and a stubborn, white-haired immortal shou who wants nothing to do with worldly affairs.

The story is full of clichés, but the romance is sweet.
