1. Wu Wenle was reborn.

Other zombies ran as soon as they saw him, but this one kept looking back. It neither ran away nor came closer, just watched him from a distance.

Its stare made Wu Wenle’s back prickle and left him feeling uneasy.

It even showed up outside his home!

Wu Wenle charged out with a knife, and the zombie started running.

He chased after it, and the zombie tripped and fell.

The plastic bag had a huge hole in it. Wu Wenle saw his husband Fu Weiyan’s face...

What the hell was wrong with this world? How had his husband turned into a zombie?!

An alien spore known as Pandora infected nearly two-thirds of all organic life, creating all kinds of Pandora ecosystems.

Humans were hunted by zombies and mutated creatures. Their habitable territory shrank rapidly, and food grew scarce...

The first thing Mei Xi saw when he was born was Huo Er. Huo Er was the village elder, the oldest and most experienced. He was vicious and volatile, spent all day eating and sleeping, and was a lifelong bachelor.

No one in the village could do anything about him. Everyone feared and respected him.

One day, Huo Er emerged from his den for the first time in ages, charging over with drool dripping from his mouth, looking terrifyingly like he’d just woken up, was out of his mind with hunger, and was about to eat a dragon egg!

He barreled into every dragon blocking his way, then shoved his huge black nostrils against a tiny silver dragon that had just struggled out of its shell. Baring his teeth, he pushed the hatchling halfway back into the shell.

Huo Er stuck out his tongue and licked the trembling Mei Xi all over, giving him a bath in drool. Then he roared, spread his wings, and flew off.

What a lunatic!

Mei Xi’s childhood was utterly unlike anyone else’s.

Huo Er would appear around him without warning, scare him, and tease him. After frightening away all the friends playing with Mei Xi, he would grab him and keep him from leaving, tormenting him like a cat playing with a mouse until he cried, then letting out a strange, terrifying laugh.

Afterward, his conscience would get the better of him, and he’d try to make it up to Mei Xi with all kinds of random food, gold and silver treasures, and scrap metal. Mei Xi often ended up with diarrhea or a nosebleed, and the little nest he built kept getting crushed by these “gifts.”

As Mei Xi grew older, Huo Er became stranger and stranger.

That old lecher was terrifying!

Every day, Mei Xi wished he could grow up and leave the village soon, get away from Huo Er, and explore the world beyond.

Many years after Mei Xi and Huo Er got married, Huo Er’s possessiveness and desire to control Mei Xi only grew with age. He decided he would lock Mei Xi away in the deepest part of their nest and guard him every day, so Mei Xi would have eyes and heart for no one but him. That way, those young, beautiful, lively creatures outside wouldn’t lure Mei Xi away.

Mei Xi escaped, left Dragon Island, and prepared to embark on the travels he had dreamed of since childhood but never been able to take.

The continent of Glavis was ruled by the royal House of Isetana.

Legend had it that the royal family carried the blood of magic dragons, earning them the name Dragon’s Bloodline. They could control and command divine dragons.

While in human form at a tavern, Mei Xi heard that there were people who could command dragons and was utterly shocked!

How could any dragon willingly let itself be controlled by a human?!

This place was a dragon’s nightmare. Mei Xi planned to stay only a little while before leaving for another continent.

However, his beauty soon caught people’s attention, and he was invited to a royal banquet. The eager, malicious gazes around him gave Mei Xi a headache.

He also gradually realized that for all of Huo Er’s many faults, he did have quite a few qualities worth loving.

At least he wasn’t promiscuous like other people, and he stayed faithful to Mei Xi.

Even more horrifyingly, Mei Xi discovered that after leaving Huo Er, no one was there to feed him anymore!!!

Dragons had to eat three meals a day or they’d starve to death. Mei Xi spent all his time earning money to buy food. He was miserable: what should have been a wonderful trip had turned into a dragon’s working vacation.

What could he do? He was starting to miss Huo Er’s cooking...

Back on Dragon Island.

Huo Er was grinning stupidly in his sleep, delighted that his wife had been so forward for once. Then he woke up to find the sky had fallen: his wife had run away?!!
