They say that if you're still a virgin at thirty, you'll become a great wizard. Ying Shanqing thinks that's complete nonsense. Otherwise, why hasn't his paintbrush started painting by itself, even after he's cast spells and chanted incantations over it countless times every day?
Before giving up on his wizard identity once and for all, Ying Shanqing makes one last attempt. Holding a fried chicken drumstick, he makes a wish over his cup of cola: May I meet a wealthy patron this month who can cover all the expenses for next month's offline Yingchun Comic and Animation Expo in one commission.
The moment he finishes wishing, a new message notification suddenly sounds from his computer.
[Hello, are you still taking commissions this month? I'd like to commission an express piece. We can discuss the price.]
Pressed by a friend to put together a fan event, Lin Chuji is forced to download an unfamiliar commission app. He finds an artist whose style he likes and messages them directly.
The artist has a short temper, but their work is excellent. After paying a hefty sum, Lin Chuji gets a commission he's very happy with and decides to buy the original hand-drawn piece.
When they meet in person, the artist shows up in an ash-gray JK uniform. Long black hair, phoenix eyes half-lowered, an air of mystery and coolness touched with a hint of world-weariness. They look like an exquisite life-size figurine, bringing the character Tomie from a horror manga to mind for no apparent reason.
When the artist looks up at him, Lin Chuji, who has been through plenty of big events, feels nervous for the first time.
He takes a deep breath and puts on his most polished smile. "Hello, I'm Lin Chuji."
The other person lets out an "Ah," their pretty phoenix eyes lifting in surprise.
"It's you. I've heard your audio drama. The one where you voiced that sadistic, perverted scumbag gong."
Their moist lips part, and a clear male voice delivers the merciless words with calm admiration: "You did a great job. It didn't sound like acting."
Lin Chuji's smile freezes on his face.

An older shut-in artist x a handsome voice actor with a gorgeous voice
Gong: A beauty who's a little eccentric from spending too much time at home. Occasionally cosplays, easily switches between women's and men's clothing, and is a socially anxious homebody.
Shou: A handsome, popular internet celebrity with a thing for good looks. He's a voice actor who debuted voicing masculine characters, with lots of fans who fantasize about him.
#Could you say that in that voice again?#
#She looks like a beauty, but if you lift her skirt...#
#I've listened to a bunch of your audio dramas, especially those BL ones...#
1. Sweet story + dual perspectives + both are each other's first
2. Probably not very long
[This wasn't the story I originally planned to write. I had no inspiration for that one, so I changed it.]
Theme: Everyone has something that shines.
