The NPC I Raised Online Is the Immortal Dao's Chief

[The original upcoming story ran out of inspiration, so I've replaced it with a new one.]

As spiritual qi revival begins and the uncanny descends, the whole world is on the verge of becoming a playground for all kinds of bizarre beings.

In a world overrun by monsters, the university Pei Que attends has opened a cultivation program. The instructors are said to be powerful cultivators from a sect in the present world, invited at great expense and after countless hardships. Every one of them is a top-tier Nascent Soul expert.

When Pei Que finally manages to get into the cultivation class and meets the legendary expert...

Pei Que freezes.

Why does this teacher look so much like an NPC from a game he once played?

Back when everything was still normal, Pei Que played a game about helping a down-and-out NPC repair his drafty little house.

In the cultivation-themed game, Pei Que worked tirelessly to patch the NPC's house and fix its windows, spending money on items and grinding for cultivation methods. He got hooked for quite a while before gradually forgetting about it.

But this new teacher looks exactly like the little beggar he once gave a bottle of failed pills to, while grinding his alchemy level to make medicine for a poor NPC in the game?

Xie Yixun has always known there was a kind senior by his side, shielding him from the wind and rain, teaching him to cultivate, and giving him everything.

When this senior suddenly disappeared, Xie Yixun resolved to find him and repay his kindness, even if it meant giving up everything.

But he searched for thousands of years, even becoming an independent immortal at the pinnacle of the Dao, and still couldn't find him.

Until one day, he was presented with a chance to cross space.

1. The protagonist is the seme, not a weak seme. The seme is tall, handsome, and beautiful.

2. An alternate modern setting.

3. The seme has a slight everyone-loves-him quality and is many people's unattainable ideal.

Theme: Helping others is helping yourself.
