The Scum Top Drags the Bottom into the Mire

[First-person POV, scum top. Dark, selfish, cowardly, incompetent scum top x kindhearted, softhearted, crybaby weak bottom.]

My legs are sunk deep in the mire, my eyes fixed on the shore.

Beside me is the one who shares my suffering, yet my selfish hands clamp tight around his body, refusing to let him escape his pain.

This is abandonment. This is betrayal.

I grit my teeth, my eyes full of hatred, threatening him with words steeped in pitiful affection.

It would be best if we died together.

Pain can ease the tedium of life, and hatred adds more flavor.

I want to pry his mouth open and hear what he really thinks.

To hear him say that he enjoys it.

I leaned close to his flushed ear, lowering my voice as if whispering sweet nothings in an intimate pose. "Do you think I'm joking? I know which neighborhood you live in. I even know your dad's phone number."

Suddenly, it hit me that Chen Qin's parents didn't care about him at all. How could they possibly listen to him and transfer him to another school, wasting so much time and money?

Thinking of that, I smiled and let go of Chen Qin, whose face had gone pale with fright. I patted his head soothingly and said, "Don't go home tonight. Sleep with me. It's already dark outside, and you might run into bad people on the way."

But Chen Qin kept crying. Tears poured down his face like water from a faucet. He grabbed my right hand and begged through his sobs, "Please don't tell my family, okay? My mom has heart disease. She can't take the shock... Please."

"You're begging me?" I raised the corners of my mouth, rather pleased with myself, then leaned in to study his delicate, almost feminine face. Gently wiping away his tears with the pad of my thumb, I whispered, "Share a bed with me, and I won't tell them."
