I've Been Clung to by a Twisted Merman

"Compared to him, do you hate... me more?"

It thought it was better than Mo, even though it too was a monster the world would never accept. But it had split from Mo's soul, and it was the good half.

"I'm not the same as him." Though it and Mo shared the same face, they were different.

Mo was its other side.

Pure evil.

Those greedy, selfish humans had tormented them for more than ten years. Mo had slaughtered the village, and that should have been the end of it.

But Mo had set his sights on a human girl who had done nothing wrong. How could he selfishly burden that child with his hatred and pain? It would never allow it.

When Mo tried to hurt the girl, the monster hated its own face for the first time.

"Ugly."

It drew a horrifying wound across its reflection with a long, sharp, jet-black fingernail.

Was Mo's present form really so different from those people back then? And as it watched over the girl day after day, had it too developed selfish feelings it shouldn't have had?

Ugly.

It had become an ugly monster too.

How ridiculous.

"Yue. That's my name."

[I have no chapters written in advance. I'll post as I write. My writing isn't great, but I'll do my best to tell this story well. I spent ages on this blurb, and this is all I've got for now. I'm really not good at writing blurbs or summaries :( Please bookmark, comment, and follow my author page. Your bookmarks and comments really motivate me a lot (>^ω^)
