Forbidden Friends

Shi Hao committed the cardinal sin of relationships: falling for her best friend, the boy she'd grown up with.

Liang Man was carefree, unruly, and uninhibited. He had been the most outstanding kid in the whole compound since childhood.

She watched him fall in love and break up again and again, treating life as a game.

"You're still the best. Those girls are such a pain." Liang Man said, drinking and putting an arm around her shoulders. "I'm happiest when I'm with you. I love being with you."

Shi Hao curled her fingers, but said nothing.

Not long afterward, an accident happened.

Shi Hao committed an even greater sin and ended up in bed with her best friend.

To preserve their friendship, they decided to add another kind of relationship to their friendship.

They agreed to call it off whenever either of them found someone they liked.

Not long after, his white moonlight returned from abroad.

Liang Man still remembered how devastated he'd been when his white moonlight left, and how she had stayed with him, drinking until he was dead drunk.

Now, watching him joyfully welcome her at the airport, Shi Hao smiled and offered her congratulations as a friend.

Then she turned and left his world for good.

Liang Man went crazy looking for her everywhere.

He only wanted Shi Hao.

Friendship or love, he didn't care. He only wanted Shi Hao.
