Who Dares Accuse This Official in Court?

County Magistrate Ye Zhang, who was staying in the back courtyard, was jolted awake at midnight by the beating of the grievance drum. After putting his young child back to sleep, he hurried to the main hall to see what was going on.

A handsome man in flowing white robes stood in the hall. When he saw Ye arrive, he nodded in greeting, carrying himself with even more hauteur than Magistrate Ye.

The nerve!

Magistrate Ye fumed: Who goes there? Why aren't you kneeling before me?

The man in white: I don't want to kneel, and I shouldn't have to. But if you tell me to, then kneel I shall.

Magistrate Ye snorted: Silver-tongued, aren't you? Get down on your knees first! Then explain why you're here.

The man in white: Why I'm here? I want to accuse you, Magistrate Ye, of abducting my child.

Magistrate Ye's heart gave a jolt: What utter nonsense! When have I ever done anything so despicable? Don't you dare slander me!

The man in white: You really don't remember? That night, you and I shared a passionate tryst...

Magistrate Ye slammed his wooden block on the desk: Silence! Say one more word and you'll be tortured!

(Recently, I've been planting lots of little stories, short pieces around ten thousand words. I got carried away and wrote them in one go. Come take a look~)
