Fan Xi never imagined that her relationship with Spider-Man would ever go beyond being casual acquaintances.
It all began that afternoon.
That nightmare.
Zombies, escape, death, and the same cycle repeating.
Over and over again.
Later,
Fan Xi was willing to call that nightmare a beautiful dream.

“Describe Fan Xi in one sentence?” Peter rubbed the back of his head awkwardly, blushing. “She, she’s really wonderful.”
“N-no, I’m not just saying that to be polite.” Peter waved his hands anxiously. “…I just don’t think there’s a word good enough for her…” He covered his face shyly. “D-don’t ask me anymore…”
“Huh? Peter?” Fan Xi tilted her head and poked the dimple in her cheek. “He’s a good person!”
“Huh? I’m not giving him the ‘nice guy’ treatment!” Fan Xi hurriedly waved her hands, beads of sweat appearing on the tip of her nose. “He really is a good person! Really!”
When they were together, even the scariest things became… Well, okay, they were still pretty scary.

Peter had a secret: he had a crush on Fan Xi, a classmate.
Peter propped his cheek on one hand and sneaked a glance toward the girl sitting diagonally in front of him. The warm sunlight streaming through the window fell across Fan Xi’s golden hair. It shone like the sun, leaving him momentarily dazed.
A sudden shove sent Peter’s chair tumbling over, and he landed awkwardly on the floor. The hard impact against his backside brought him back to his senses. He looked around in bewilderment. Everyone was staring at him: some with mockery, some with indifference, some with confusion… and some with concern?
When he met Fan Xi’s gaze, Peter hurriedly lowered his head. He wished he could sink through the floor.
“PETER PARKER!!! If you zone out one more time, get out of my class!!!” A piece of chalk hit Peter squarely on the head. As it slid off, the whole class burst into laughter.
Peter’s face flushed bright red. He kept apologizing, too ashamed to look up, and quickly righted his chair before shrinking back into his seat amid the laughter.
Class resumed. No one paid any more attention to the dopey bookworm. Peter dejectedly raised his eyes a little and glanced at the girl diagonally in front of him. She was taking notes intently, her brow furrowed, perhaps because of the incomprehensible formulas.
Her golden hair still left him dazed, so dazed that he couldn’t ignore the inferiority rising inside him.
The distance between them was about two and a half desks.
Always, two and a half desks.

The good news: in the tenth year of Peter’s secret crush on Fan Xi, they finally became friends.
The bad (?) news: together, they took down a villain. Then they caught their classmate. Then they caught their teacher. Then they caught the father of Fan Xi’s best friend. And then, together, they caught…
Does he still have a chance to take things further?
#Spider-Man’s villains are always people close to him.
Theme: It’s all thanks to fate and dreams!
