Still Being the Sword Cultivator's Dao Companion Today

After working all night for three days straight, Song Leqi finally couldn't take it anymore and died of overwork.

The good news: He transmigrated!

The bad news: He became a sword.

The even worse news: A sword buried in the ground.

Song Leqi waited and waited until at last he saw the light of day again, just before his blade rusted away!

But can someone tell him who the guy in front of him is, with a bloody hole in his neck spurting blood, and who the person whose hand has turned into a skeleton is?!

Song Leqi is utterly shocked. As a bloodstained hand reaches for the sword, he struggles frantically.

"Don't come any closer!"

The next second, the earth shakes and the mountains tremble. Song Leqi shoots into the sky, and the people fighting suddenly shout, "A divine sword has appeared!"

Song Leqi, who accidentally embeds himself in a rock: "?"

What? A divine sword? Me?

-

Taking advantage of the fighting crowd, Song Leqi wobbles away, trying to control his new body.

Just as he's about to make a successful getaway, someone suddenly grips the hilt.

Song Leqi: "!"

Let go! My neck's about to snap!

Xiao Yuyuan hears what sounds like a voice and is bewildered. "?"

-

At dawn, Song Leqi is woken up again, just after finally falling asleep following a major battle.

Song Leqi is utterly despondent, seething with resentment.

Come on, are sword cultivators really this competitive? You're practicing swordplay before dawn?

At last, he can't take it anymore and transforms into human form.

Song Leqi: "Swords need rest too! Swords can die from overwork too! Starting today, no sword practice before noon!"

Xiao Yuyuan: "...All right."

He no longer has to get up early, but Xiao Yuyuan's gaze at him grows stranger and stranger.

Finally, one day, Song Leqi can't stand it anymore. "Didn't you swear to Heaven that your only Dao companion in this life would be a sword, or you'd be struck by ten thousand bolts of lightning?"

Xiao Yuyuan says nothing, only gazes at him tenderly.

Song Leqi: "..."

Right, he's a sword now.
