No Tempting the Little Black Cat

[Sentinel * Guide: Peregrine Falcon * Little Black Cat]

Xu Ci had a dream. In it, a virus swept across the globe, the streets teemed with zombies, and plants and animals mutated under the virus. Unremarkable plants became deadly overnight, the world order fell into chaos, and the apocalypse arrived.

At first, Xu Ci didn't believe it. But when the events from his dream began happening one after another, he hurriedly stockpiled supplies, cramming his home full like a hamster.

One day, a clear "Meow" suddenly rang out in his quiet home.

Xu Ci froze, then hurriedly grabbed his crossbow.

A little black cat cautiously poked its head out from behind the sofa, staring at Xu Ci with round, unblinking eyes.

Just as Xu Ci was about to strike, the little black cat's affectionate voice sounded in his mind.

Xu Ci: "?!" Had he gone crazy from being locked up?

For what felt like the millionth time, the peregrine falcon circling outside approached the little black cat, who was lying by the floor-to-ceiling window playing with a ball, and tried to flirt with it.

Xu Ci sighed as he watched the little black cat standing proudly on the peregrine falcon's back.

Just then, someone knocked on the front door, which hadn't had a visitor in ages.

A tall, handsome man looked apologetic. "Sorry, my spirit animal has run off with your little black cat again."
