Synopsis

Every dragon on Dragon Island thinks Nidhogg has gone mad. He used to go on rampages because his magic was too powerful. Now he insists he gave birth to a two-legged beast and needs to build a nest and hatch an egg.

Byron, the dragon clan's Grand Elder, steps in personally to try to reason with the deranged dragon.

Grand Elder: First, you are a male dragon. You don't have a partner.

Grand Elder: Second, you're a male dragon. How could you lay an egg?

Grand Elder: And finally, you're a male dragon. How could you give birth to a human?!

Nidhogg sneers. Who said he gave birth to a human? He gave birth to his own child! A magical miracle, conceived from his source of power under the Dragon God's blessing!

Sure, his little one was born without powerful wings, beautiful scales, a nutritious eggshell, or even dragon horns.

But that didn't matter. He could teach him flying spells and buy him powerful magical gear. As for the horns on his forehead, Dad would find a way... Before he could even get the word “way” out, his son really did grow horns! Perfect horns, like a black goat's, nestled against either side of his fluffy curls.

Nidhogg: !!! See? Those horns are exactly like mine. This is my son! My own flesh and blood!

In short, a demon child is mistaken for a human baby and raised by his dragon dad.

P.S. The dragon dad isn't the love interest, okay? This is purely a father-son relationship. The love interest is someone else who appears later.

The love interests are childhood friends.

Choose your own warnings and delights:

1. Happy ending, one-on-one romance, primarily from the bottom's perspective.

2. Updates around midday, between 11 a.m. and 2 p.m.

3. The story is told mostly from a child's perspective. Romance only begins after he grows up. The focus is on family, so please read with that in mind.

4. The author's cat wrote this story! ⊙ω⊙

5. Before buying the paid chapters, be sure to read the author's note at the end of the first paid chapter.

6. I'll add more if I think of anything.

Theme: Life is a perilous valley, and only the brave can cross it., Michelet

Proud and Talented Bottoms/Female Protagonists (Mostly Large-Scale Worlds)

Quick transmigration, modern, and historical settings. I prefer expansive worlds, powerful and confident protagonists with an emperor-like attitude, popular protagonists, and strong female leads. No CP (male leads tend to be bottoms).

For Personal Use: Family, Child-Rearing, and Growth

Most of the kids are adults mentally but children physically, though there are also genuinely young kids. Reincarnated in the womb or transmigrated into another body, with growing-up and healing themes, and a serious tone.

Bottom-Led Reading List | Historical and Western Fantasy BL

I lean toward the receiving partner in BL and mainly care about how he's written. I want the giving partner to make the first move. I'm not too bothered by pretty or idealized giving partners, as long as the author doesn't imply in the narration that they want to kiss even if it means dying together. Check the comments for trigger warnings.

A Little of Everything, Four- and Five-Star Reads, Danmei with Bottoms Only, Part 2

[Includes reviews] I read an extremely broad range, as long as it's original danmei with a shou protagonist and well written, regardless of genre [except quick transmigration]. All of these are completed stories I've finished and bought in full.
