Good Brothers Should Kiss

[A story about a young man, with a little bit of fiery spirit]

01.

Bie Xiangli had spent fifteen years cultivating in the mountains with his master. At the start of his sixteenth year, his master kicked him right out of Qianling Mountain.

Bie Xiangli: ?

So much for having a loving master. How can you be so heartless?

With no way to return home, Bie Xiangli had no choice but to head down the mountain with his little bundle.

At his first stop, he ran into rampaging demons.

Young men always dream of becoming heroes, so Bie Xiangli saw this as the first step toward making a name for himself in the martial world.

But he never imagined!

He failed to vanquish the demons and ended up captured by them instead.

Bie Xiangli: "..." Why isn't this going the way the books said it would?!

After thinking it over to no avail, Bie Xiangli decided it was all because this demon was too powerful. After all, even a celebrated disciple from a prestigious sect had been captured alongside him.

Bie Xiangli compared himself to that heaven-blessed prodigy, then considered that they were both in the same predicament, and immediately felt much better.

He knew it! This demon had to be ridiculously tough.

The celebrated disciple shot him a look. If you can't win, just say so. Why make up all that nonsense?

02.

The first time Tian Xuanji met Bie Xiangli, he was an unbearably smug brat. His fighting skills were just so-so, but he sure had a lot to say.

Put nicely, he didn't let a loss get him down. Put bluntly, he was a stubborn little brat who cared about saving face and refused to admit defeat.

Tian Xuanji had never thought he would have much to do with someone like that.

But life is unpredictable. Not only did he end up getting involved with Bie Xiangli, they became very involved indeed.

How involved?

That's private.

03.

Three years after faking his death, Bie Xiangli found out that the entire martial world was spreading a rumor: Tian Xuanji had been mourning him for three years.

Bie Xiangli: ??? Buddy, don't start!

If that cold-faced hothead Tian Xuanji heard this, who knows how badly he'd beat me up?

As it turned out, Tian Xuanji had indeed heard the rumor. When he saw Bie Xiangli "come back from the dead," he charged at him with a furious look on his face and then... hugged him.

Bie Xiangli was completely bewildered, but also felt like he'd just escaped disaster. He let out a sigh of relief. Looks like Tian Xuanji's temper has gotten a lot better over the years.

The next second, someone bit down hard on his lips.

Bie Xiangli's brain short-circuited again. Can good buddies kiss?

He thought for two seconds, then decisively kissed him back.

Who cares if they can? Just kiss him!
