So I'm the Villain After All?

Li Xianfeng transmigrated into a book and even got a System as a bonus.

Li Xianfeng: I...

System: You're the villain.

Li Xianfeng: You...

System: You're also a villain who's about to die.

Li Xianfeng: ???

System: The protagonist has already killed your whole family, wiped out your entire clan, and held a knife to your neck, asking whether you want to live or die.

Li Xianfeng rubs his ears. "Hold on. Which one did you say was the protagonist, and which one was the villain?"

System: You're the villain. He's the protagonist.

Li Xianfeng glances at the "protagonist" beside him, covered in blood and vicious beyond measure.

His temple throbs. What the hell, that's the protagonist? He's a total monster!

System: Good news: your whole family and clan are evil spirits, so the protagonist is just enforcing justice on Heaven's behalf. Bad news: the protagonist is about to enforce justice on Heaven's behalf against you, too.

Li Xianfeng: .

Oh, so I'm an evil spirit too. Then it's... it's no big... no big deal!

Actually, it's a very big deal!

Li Xianfeng sighs wearily. "Isn't there any way I can stay alive?"

System: There is! A newbie gift pack.

Li Xianfeng opens it and takes a look. "Love-Melting Curse?" (Tosses it aside.) "Everlasting Devotion Talisman?" (Tosses it aside.) ...

In short, after looking through the pack for ages, he can't find a single useful thing. Still, he manages to escape in the end. As for how, don't ask.

System: Host, please level up as soon as possible. The protagonist will arrive at the batt... ahem, the scene in five seconds.

Li Xianfeng: Hey, man, are you really chasing me down to kill me?

Seriously, which of us is the villain here?!!!

[The calculating villain top, who only wants to survive × the gloomy, obsessive protagonist bottom, who relentlessly pursues him]

Theme: Everyone deserves to be loved.
