Love and Obsession: Yokohama's Little Perfume Town

1

[ Yokohama is a small town famous far and wide for its perfume... ]

Player: "Hold on a second. Yokohama is a city-level administrative division."

[This is a spin-off game. Spin-off.]

"All right, go on."

[...Anyway, your main quest is to develop the perfume industry and create a one-of-a-kind fragrance.]

Player: "Okay, watch me work."

Qinshi You logged into a full-dive single-player game called Love Potion: Perfume Town.

After receiving his quest, he eagerly bought huge machines, planned out a production line, and grabbed a snakeskin sack, ready to capture NPCs as cheap labor.

But the moment he entered the game, he was dumbfounded.

Why were all his perfume ingredients anthropomorphic?

They were both ingredients and labor. How was the game even more exploitative than the players?

[Game: Don't blame me :)]

After going through a great deal of trouble (not really), Qinshi You got his perfume factory up and running.

Bestseller: Red Camellia, fresh at first and rich in the dry-down, was so popular that people spent their entire fortunes buying it out as soon as it went on sale.

Most popular: Vanilla Hydrangea, light and fresh like grass after rain. Though Qinshi You always thought it should have smelled like chocolate...

Along with classic floral scents, he made fragrances that smelled like snacks, disinfectant, fish... His business was booming!

At the awards ceremony for outstanding entrepreneurs that he had organized himself, Qinshi You gave an impassioned speech:

"I have a dream. I want to create the world's most comprehensive perfume encyclopedia!"

P.S.:

1. A fourth-calamity story. The protagonist is a player, and the original world is the world of Detective Conan.

2. Includes Chuuya/Nakahara and Dazai.

3. Main pairing tentatively set as the eldest brother.

4. More to come.

Theme: Building a business from scratch.
