Gu Qingge transmigrates to another continent, a land from ancient times.

Rare plants and strange insects abound, and ancient trees and spirit herbs grow everywhere. The people have entered the early stages of agriculture, with houses and villages, but the land is also rife with danger and harsh conditions for survival.

Every ten years, a great flood submerges the lush wetlands, forcing all the tribes to migrate.

The day after his coming-of-age awakening, he regains memories of his previous life.

He discovers that this is a world inhabited only by spirit folk, with no humans, and that he has just become a spirit master capable of commanding all things.

Having lived through the great flood, Gu Qingge knows how dangerous it is. Seeing the worried Ancestor Shaman and his people, he decides they won't migrate again in search of a place to survive. Instead, he leads the tribe in growing crops on floating beds and bamboo rafts, and even builds boats.

He establishes a new home for them on the water and leads the tribe through the great flood.

"Go play somewhere else."

Without looking up, Qingge casually nudges the little black beast that keeps circling him and refuses to leave.

The little beast's eyes dart about.

"Mm? Roar!"

You're telling me to leave? Well, I won't!

Qingge, who can understand the beast's thoughts, has a twitch at the corner of his mouth.

Not only has this guy's body turned into a cub, his mind has become that of one too. He doesn't even remember that he's an Ancestor Beast!

To stop the little beast from bothering him, Qingge simply picks him up by the scruff and tosses him outside to play with the children.

"Watch the kids all day, and I'll give you an extra serving tonight."

The little beast rolls on the ground, gets back up, and is about to claw at the door in a rage when he suddenly hesitates.

"Awooo?"

Really?

Qingge rubs the space between his brows. Where did this guy pick up all these weird noises? "Mm. Really."

"Also, you're a Black Qilin. Don't go copying the cries of the troublemaking dogs the tribe keeps."

The little beast sulks. "..."

That's not what you say when you need me!
