Hard-of-hearing, adorable princess x Gentle, wheelchair-bound incubus
Love at first sight after an arranged marriage | Age gap and size difference | Hilarious and heartwarming
-
Aurelia is a human princess of the Kingdom of Sia. Frail and sickly, she was overlooked from childhood. At last, one day, she became "useful."
Far to the west, the incubi feed on lust. They have long abused their evil powers to commit misdeeds, but since they guard the valley of the evil dragon, the king chooses to turn a blind eye.
One day, the royal palace receives a letter of greeting from the incubi. Next comes a mountain of betrothal gifts.
The prince of the incubi wants to marry a princess of Sia!
This is hardly good news, because Prince Ascan is a "cripple" who cannot use his legs!
Rumor says he has a hideous face, with blue skin and crooked features. His physical disability has also made him violent and murderous.
When the envoy arrives, the king asks his daughters which of them will accept the honor and go to Dragon Valley to serve the prince in exchange for a hundred years of peace for the kingdom. The princesses all step back, and only the hard-of-hearing Aurelia doesn't move in time...
-
But the truth seems far less frightening than the rumors...
On their wedding night, Aurelia drinks to work up her courage. Tipsy and dazed, she lays her hands all over her incubus husband.
The prince is terrified. After a flustered struggle, Aurelia loses and bursts into tears. "My father bullies me, my sisters bully me, my servants bully me, and now even you bully me!"
"..." The prince is at a loss for words. Blushing, he says, "I'm not bullying you. If I do it so directly, it'll hurt."
"What? What did you say? I can't hear you!" Aurelia shouts.
The prince has no choice but to raise his voice: "I SAID IT WILL HURT!"
His shout uses up nearly all the magic he has left. Not only does Aurelia feel it, but Dragon Valley trembles a little too.
Aurelia pauses, then starts crying softly, trembling. "Y-You're so scary. Are you going to eat me?"
The prince decides to keep quiet and show her through his actions instead: he doesn't eat people directly, but it still hurts.
That night, Aurelia's cries echo through Dragon Valley.
-
But after that, Ascan never made Aurelia cry like that again.
[Reader's guide]

2. The hero has a nonhuman form. His legs will recover. The heroine is soft and sweet. She'll grow, but won't become a strong, independent heroine. Her hearing will also recover thanks to magic.
