A cold, gorgeous rose who has lost the one she loved × a gentle, obedient deaf boy
Older woman/younger man | Boyfriend with a caretaker streak | A heartwarming story of healing

Jiang Xin works his way through school as a cook for a superstar, taking care of all her meals.
The superstar is one person in public and another in private.
Under the flashbulbs, she shines brilliantly and chats with ease. Away from the cameras, she is ascetic and taciturn.
She has a slender waist and a discerning palate, and rarely smiles. When she does, dimples appear in her cheeks. Her favorite thing is to hold a slim cigarette between her lips, like a fragile willow swaying in the wind, exhaling clouds of smoke into the breeze.
The celebrity is generous with her money, and Jiang Xin doesn't want to take advantage of her, so he takes it upon himself to expand his services: cleaning, doing laundry, serving tea, acting as a bodyguard...
There's nothing he can't do. He can even warm her bed.
Before long, rumors spread that she can no longer bear the loneliness and has taken a puppy-boy lover.
With a camera shoved in her face, she's asked whether she can no longer maintain her "devoted woman" image.
She remains composed, smiling as she answers with absolute certainty, one word at a time: "He's just the younger brother of a relative. That's all."
That night, Jiang Xin warmed her bed with exceptional dedication.
After the storm had passed, Yao Ningyue noticed the redness at the corners of his eyes. His bright, shining gaze held a desperate resolve and undisguised resentment.
He was like a lamb, pure and soft no matter how much you plucked at him, forever wearing the innocent look of someone helpless in the face of others.
It was the first time he had ever shown emotion. His calloused palm clamped around her wrist like an iron vice, and his voice came to her ear, damp and hoarse: "Would a little brother warm your bed? Would he bathe you? Would he..."
Yao Ningyue wearily closed her eyes and sighed softly.
The game had to end.
She pushed him away and said without sadness or joy, "Didn't I tell you long ago? Even without you, I'd have other ways to amuse myself."
"Amuse yourself..."
He clenched his jaw, staring at her in disbelief, as a violent storm gathered in his eyes.
For a moment, Jiang Xin wished he couldn't hear a thing.

"A lone boat must cross the sea.
It will face storms and be smashed to pieces,
lose its way and never find its return.
Yet a boat without the sea is no boat at all,
and without you, I am no longer me.
So it isn't a lone boat crossing the sea. It's the sea carrying the lone boat."
