[Blurb]
Wen Tali closed her eyes and transmigrated into the body of a sacrifice. When she opened them again, she had been dumped into the open sea.
The ocean opened its snowy-white jaws and swallowed her into Deadman's Island.
"Hi, everyone. My name is Wen Tali. I'm a cowardly office worker from the 21st century, and right now I'm climbing out of an ice coffin. This isn't a made-up story or a joke. I transmigrated to an incredibly wild world."
"Hang on, let me switch the camera."
"Do you see that thing in front of me? That lump, that creature... Is it prehistoric? Mutated? Alien? Some kind of superorganism? It... Ahhh, it saw me! H-help!"
-
"Thanks for your concern. I'm still alive."
Her savior was... a giant flaming bird?!
He smacked his beak, then approached with blazing flames all over him. His enormous golden-red eyes, bigger than basketballs, stared into her as he examined her with intense, deep interest.
Wen Tali was forced to begin her struggle for survival in another world, with a few strange strokes of luck mixed in with all her bad luck. For example:
Just as she was about to plunge off a cliff, she mutated.
She encountered a talking falcon and a horned owl, and they took her in.
Females were rare, so she became a treasure. Then, the very next moment, she was told she was married, and her husband was that very firebird!
What almost nobody knows is that more than ninety percent of birds don't have a little bird.
She had planned to embrace a life of celibacy and serious slacking. Who could have guessed she'd encounter an immortal alien monster with rotating eyes and long tentacles on her journey?
After her husband was badly injured, he turned into a man. She woke up with her legs spasming and her pants on backward...
Wen Tali was speechless. Now she really was married!
On top of all that, the "functional NPC" who transmigrated alongside her said he had been on Deadman's Island for a long time.
The bitter cold season was coming, yet Deadman's Island was full of danger: the mightiest tribe wiped out to the last member, the secret of the red-crowned cranes, the females' counterattack, a false continent, the true guardians... Wen Tali kept having strange dreams, her sanity plummeted, and her skill points maxed out.
And the giant anaconda in the swamp, with its killing instinct maxed out, wanted to make her its master!
The confusing mysteries were still unsolved when a rift in space-time opened once more.
As she crossed the wormhole, Wen Tali had a strange dream. She dreamed she was eating...
Eating what?
Herself.
[Reading Guide]
1. The setting is freewheeling, with a focus on interstellar adventure. My take on Lovecraftian dark mythology, with beast-world and supernatural-power elements.
2. The balance of plot and romance is 1:1. The male lead is nonhuman, exclusive and faithful, with a one-on-one ending, but the final say belongs to the female lead... In short, readers who want a completely pure romance should proceed with caution. The heroine starts out cowardly, but grows stronger and goes on a killing spree later.
3. My writing is old-fashioned, corny but earnest. I beg you to read it with kind eyes!
