The Surprise Newcomer Became the Group's Beloved [Entertainment Industry]

The limited-time group XOX debuted a year ago, and now they were on the verge of graduating and disbanding.

The fans petitioned SM as one: No! We won't accept it! You can't disband! No solo careers!

So Jiang Zhien made a surprise debut as the ninth member.

Some said she was lucky, that she shot to fame with a single airport look.

More people called her a "triple-zero idol": no looks, no singing voice, no dancing skills. What right did she have to squeeze her way into XOX?

Jiang Zhien couldn't be bothered to explain.

The moment the new album's promotional video came out, the whole internet fell silent.

Visuals fit for a center, a voice that blew the competition away, and a dance practice fancam that hit a million views.

"Being an idol is so easy," she said with a smile to the camera.

But the face-slapping story wasn't over yet. A dating scandal came first.

A private photo was exposed: petite Jiang Zhien holding a man's arm, with the area near Kim Jong Un's home in the background.

A vacation photo followed: the two standing shoulder to shoulder, the atmosphere unmistakably intimate.

"She's actually dating senior Yesung?!"

"Taking classes? Who do you think you're fooling?!"

Jiang Zhien tried every which way to explain, while fans went wild and tore the place apart.

Just as the public outcry was about to explode...

A male idol came online in the middle of the night and casually posted:

"Hello, girlfriend @Zli"

The whole internet exploded.

Fans flipped tables: So they really are dating!

Jiang Zhien: "...I've liked you for ages, but could you not announce it unilaterally?"

One pinned comment read: Are you two doing some kind of bit here? Clearing things up in seconds?

Jiang Zhien: ε=(´ο`*))) Boyfriends these days are so hard to handle.
