Highway Survival: God Says to Hitch a Ride in My Wuling Hongguang

On the first day of highway survival, other people's starter packs contained sports cars, RVs, and armored vehicles.

Yun Du looked down at the skate shoes on his feet and fell silent for a long time.

A Wuling Hongguang. E-rank luck. Dead last on the entire server.

He accepted it.

Until he accidentally knocked over a god's altar with his shovel and casually made off with the sacrificial steak.

Every player waited for the god to send down divine punishment.

The god did come.

But could someone explain why the lofty God of the World, who had been standing at the end of the highway,

suddenly appeared in his passenger seat?

And why couldn't he fasten his seat belt?

"You stole my property."

Yun Du held up his shovel. "I can give it back..."

"You don't have to." The god licked the blood from the corner of his mouth. "Take me with you."

From then on, the god's whole vibe changed:

By day, he helped Yun Du repair the engine. At night, he perched on the roof of the car to chase off mutated monsters.

Players across the server watched Yun Du rocket up the rankings and collectively lost it:

"Why does he get a god as his sidekick?!"

The god calmly corrected them. "I'm not his sidekick. I'm his accomplice."

Later, the god's followers realized their god had disappeared.

Meanwhile, on some endless highway, a Wuling Hongguang was tearing along at eighty kilometers an hour.

The man in the passenger seat munched on compressed biscuits while using divine revelations to buff the car:

"Resource crate two hundred meters to the left. BOSS spawning three kilometers ahead. We'll stop at that gas station tonight. I'll keep watch for you."

Yun Du finally couldn't take it anymore. "What do you even want from me?"

The god turned to him, madness crackling like fire in his eyes:

"The way you work the pedals in those skate shoes."

"...God, get a grip."

Later, everyone on the server knew that the player who'd been dead last had bonded with the only SSS-rank cheat in the whole game.

The cheat itself sat in the passenger seat every day, eating potato chips and occasionally giving excited directions:

"Pass that RV up ahead. Yeah, that one. It insulted you earlier."

Yun Du stepped on the gas with a blank expression. "Aren't you a god? Why are you so petty?"

"God loves all mankind," he said with a smile, "but I only love you."

In a highway survival game for everyone, some people sought survival, while others sought power.

And then there was someone who, on a road with no visible end, picked up a madman willing to fall from his divine throne.
