This Inn Is a Black Shop!

On his first day in a world of the uncanny, Lu Yu thought he was done for.

Shadows of ghosts filled the house, and something outside was scratching at the walls.

He huddled behind the stove, clutching an iron wok.

Then he realized: even ghosts have to eat.

The good news: he was a great cook.

The bad news: all his customers were ghosts and monsters.

A headless ghost slurped up hot-and-sour noodles through its neck, while a many-armed monster flipped the table eight times fighting over spicy hot pot.

A tree spirit nearly put a hole through the roof while soaking in water, and a long-tongued ghost waited in line three miles down the road.

Most outrageous of all, a dragon handed over its own ingredients before ordering, and the first thing a demon said upon walking in was, "Boss, I already paid the protection fee."

It wasn't that they were being polite.

A little girl with twin ponytails was squatting by the door, and she slapped a cleaver down on the table:

"Leave a good review after you eat, or I'll chop you all up and make soup."

She was cute but fierce, and not one of them dared make a peep.

And so the strangest inn in the uncanny world became a hit.

Ghosts lined up for tables, monsters played drinking games, and the Ghost King next door secretly ordered an iced cola. After drinking it, he sat in silence for a long time, then gave it five stars.

But Lu Yu didn't know.

The reason this inn was called "Full Moon" was never just a name.

On every full-moon night, lights from another world would shine throughout the inn.

And the "guests" he had fed with his own hands would gather at the door in unspoken agreement, shielding him from the things crawling out of the abyss.

"Boss, this bowl of spicy hot pot is my way of paying you back."

You think he's running an inn.

In truth, all those monsters and demons are doing everything they can to protect one "human."
