Mother, You Made a Mistake (Reborn)

At seventeen, Ning He entered the palace selection. Kneeling among the many candidates, she did not dare raise her eyes to look upon the emperor.

Ning He was a worldly person. She coveted the riches and splendor of the imperial palace, yet feared she would lose her life there, and spent every day in a state of anxiety.

Until sunset, when she accidentally ate a pastry belonging to another candidate and had a very long dream.

In the dream, she outlived the old emperor, poisoned the crown prince, and ascended to the position of empress dowager.

Then, in a sudden fall from glory, she died in the second year of her regency.

Now, she was reborn.

Ning He awoke from her dream, but on the first day of her reborn life, she made a mistake.

She turned her head. A handsome young man was sleeping beside her.

Oh, it's him. The sinister crown prince who called her Mother Empress in her previous life, the stepson she had poisoned.

Huh?

What?

Ning He: Aaaaaah!

.

After drinking poisoned wine, Li Weici returned to the year Ning He entered the palace.

From a high vantage point, he saw her hiding behind the other candidates, trembling with fear as she watched her companion beaten to death.

She was so frightened she didn't know what to do, her thin back trembling slightly.

That night, while the guards searched for them, Ning He hid beneath him, sobbing.

"Shh." He gripped her trembling waist and whispered hoarsely, "Don't let them find us."

"Mother Empress."
