My Ex-Girlfriend's Ex-Boyfriend Is Way Too Enthusiastic

[High IQ, low EQ, king of wild assumptions, domineering CEO top X high-powered but easily flustered, socially fearless little ray of sunshine bottom]

Huo Fengchuan, an executive director and newly single man.

The night he broke up with his ex-girlfriend, some silly kid who asked to share his table got him drinking all night.

But that's not the point.

The point is, he didn't get drunk. The other guy did.

The next morning, Xia You woke up with a hangover and received a bill.

The drinks he hadn't paid for, a night's hotel room, and the cleaning fee for an expensive suit...

Xia You's brain short-circuited.

So he'd thrown up all over the guy while drunk, and the other man hadn't held it against him. Instead, he'd gotten him a room and paid for the lodging and drinks?

Wonderful! He knew he was right to help him!

From then on, Huo Fengchuan had a little shadow trailing after him.

The little shadow didn't say a word, just kept trying to curry favor with him.

One day, he overheard his assistant tell him that the little shadow paid special attention to his love life, had asked several times about his current relationship status, and had even stopped his ex-girlfriend from giving him trouble.

Huo Fengchuan: "What does he want?"

Assistant: "I think he's fallen for you."

Huo Fengchuan: "...Oh?"

From then on, Huo Fengchuan noticed even more clues.

Xia You liked his social media posts. He liked him.

Xia You badmouthed his ex-girlfriend. He was jealous of her.

Xia You hinted that he should find someone else...

Wait, that wasn't a hint. It was an outright declaration!

Huo Fengchuan was delighted and magnanimously decided to give him a chance to pursue him.

He readily agreed to Xia You's request that he find someone else, then waited for the man's heartfelt confession.

Xia You was overjoyed. "That's great! I knew Mr. Huo had a discerning eye!"

And then... nothing happened.

-

Locked in the office, Xia You faced the domineering CEO pinning him against the wall and shrank into the corner, feeling a little guilty.

"Hey, I just wanted to tell you that I dated that woman. You ran into a terrible woman!"

Having finally figured it all out, Huo Fengchuan ground his teeth in fury.

"I've already dealt with the terrible woman."

"Now I've run into a terrible man."

◆ The top and bottom both dated the same ex-girlfriend, but neither relationship went all the way. They only ever held hands with her.
