My Wife's Floral Language Is 'Act Fast or Miss Out'

Wen Lan was famous at the academy as a beautiful failure. Though she was a Guide, she couldn't soothe a Sentinel's mental domain, and even after long-term training, she made no progress.

She took two extra years to graduate, then eventually dropped out.

She became a living "legend" people at the academy gossiped about over tea.

With no diploma and no way to work as a Guide, Wen Lan eventually moved to a remote planet and opened an ordinary flower shop.

Wen Lan went alone into the wilderness in search of rare flower varieties. She found no flowers, but instead encountered a Sentinel who had lost control.

Thorned vines rampaged, destroying everything in their path, as the man's eyes turned blood-red and he sent everyone who tried to stop him flying.

The vines lashed toward Wen Lan, leaving her no way to dodge. At the last moment, just as they were about to strike, the vines stopped in an eerie manner.

Their thorns withdrew and the blood-red color faded. The vines circled her hesitantly twice, then cautiously poked the tiny mimosa she had summoned in her desperate attempt to flee.

Leng Yi was the Alliance's only S-rank plant-type Sentinel, the sole known possessor of the Dragonblood Royal Vine, a once-in-a-millennium gift and the absolute pinnacle of combat strength under the known system.

When stable, he was worth a thousand troops. When he lost control, everyone else was in hell.

Every Guide who tried to regulate him was knocked unconscious, and even after attempting a variety of methods, the higher-ups were at a loss.

Until the day he met a Guide with no aptitude for being a Guide.

At last, a flower bloomed on the cold, hard blood vine.

When they first met:

"Would you be willing to become my Guide?"

"Sorry, I don't have the aptitude to be a Guide."

During a crisis:

"Would you be willing to become my Guide?"

"Don't get the wrong idea. Just this once."

At the registration office:

"Would you be willing to become my Guide?"

"..."

"You want to hear those three words that badly?"

"Fine, then listen closely."

"I will."
