This story:
An honest, wooden-headed, responsible puppy × a pretty, clever, coquettish little fox
Basically, it's the story of a sincere idiot whose attempt at revenge fails, leaving him completely at the mercy of his rival.
Wen Xiaoman found someone at the clinic. Nobody around her recognized the woman, but Wen Xiaoman knew at a glance that she was her sworn enemy.
Xia Jixing.
Wrapped in thick bandages and lying in a hospital bed, Xia Jixing looked fragile and pitiful, her usual sharpness and aggression softened.
Wen Xiaoman only thought about it for three seconds before deciding to take her home. Not out of some sudden burst of kindness. She just wanted Xia Jixing to put her cooking skills to use and make all her meals, as compensation for their past verbal sparring.
Summer gave way to autumn. The food still smelled delicious, but the kitchen's stifling heat was gradually swept away by the cool breeze outside.
One side grew cold, while the other began to heat up.
They had just finished another round of cooking. Wen Xiaoman was so hot she pushed open the window a crack. Xia Jixing, equally hot, with sweat beading at the tip of her nose, kicked her.
She let out a breathy hum. "Your technique is awful."
Wen Xiaoman: "You're not exactly great yourself, okay?"
Xia Jixing: "..."
Wen Xiaoman looked at her, hesitating. Now that things had reached this point, she couldn't tell which of them was worse.

Tip: Xiaoman means "small fullness," the start of contentment.
Xiaoshui means "a gentle stream that flows on forever."
Here's a preview of my upcoming regret-and-redemption story, "The Sickly Omega Used Pheromones, Then Faced the Consequences":
Synopsis:
Shen Zhiwei had always believed that meeting He Jinye was a gift from fate.
That rainy night, the pale, fragile Omega, soaked through, collapsed outside her door. The light gave her snow-white skin a cold sheen, like a precious porcelain doll someone had abandoned. Heartbroken for her, Shen Zhiwei brought her inside and cared for her tenderly.
He Jinye had "lost her memory." She was obedient and dependent, and had eyes only for Shen Zhiwei.
When the Omega was overcome by some mysterious illness, trembling in pain in Shen Zhiwei's arms, her cool eyes filling with a hazy sheen of tears, her whole body nearly melting into a pool of spring water, she forced out a broken sob through clenched teeth: "P-please..."
Her tearful plea was for a temporary mark, and Shen Zhiwei blushed, her heart softening.
She gave He Jinye the mark, and gave her all of her own sincere love without reservation. They spent a blissful time together, and Shen Zhiwei used every connection and resource at her disposal to find He Jinye's family and a cure for her illness.
So when He Jinye's family finally came for her, Shen Zhiwei was genuinely happy for her. She believed He Jinye's promise that they would have a future together.
Until she heard He Jinye say to someone else, in a cold voice she'd never heard before: "If it weren't for the fact that only a fated mate's bodily fluids can cure my illness, why would I have pretended to love her for months? What a joke."
At that moment, Shen Zhiwei's world silently crumbled.
It turned out that from the rainy night they first met to every dependent embrace, from the agony of He Jinye's illness to their sweet marking, it had all been a carefully calculated act.
He Jinye's illness had never been incurable. The only thing was, the cure happened to be Shen Zhiwei herself.
She silently let go and ended this farce, as though she'd never known He Jinye at all.
Later, He Jinye had everything she could want and her illness was stable, yet every night she was tormented by the pain of losing that familiar scent. At last, she understood: what she'd schemed to obtain was no medicine, but a love that could tear her heart and bones apart.
He Jinye found her former lover again. Those once-cool eyes were now brimming with tears, but deep in her pupils burned a nearly feverish obsession.
She buried her face against the side of He Jinye's neck, her voice trembling slightly.
"Just let me die in your hands. At least then, the last thing I smell... will still be you."

Reader tips:
1. This story contains a mountain of author-invented settings.
2. No tagalong character.
Theme: Break free from ingrained prejudices and embrace an authentic life
After reading it, I didn't expect that the only time cooking is described in the whole article is in the copywriting [Standing Hands]
The female-centric narrative is very comfortable to watch. Xiaoman and Xiaoxing are really happy enemies
When will the author update?
It's so sweet that I'm rolling around on the bed 🥺
Ouch ouch ouch ouch ouch 🥺 🥺 I selfishly want to read more, but I don't want this to be a short article. It's so good that I really like it 🥺, but you have your own pace... Come on, you must cook super delicious food for us 🥺 🥺 🥺
I just wait and wait and wait [oh oh oh]
When you get married, ask the doctor from the clinic to sit at the main table

Although the ending was a bit sudden, it was actually quite enjoyable.
