Huai Weilou is the last Celestial Master in the world. After boarding the wrong bus, he ends up in an infinite world of Chinese-style horror, where he can only survive by earning enough points. And after mouthing off to the System, he starts out in the negatives.

Going by past experience, starting out with a negative score is as good as a death sentence. Players become the first targets of the ghosts and monsters, and new players with no means of defending themselves can only wait to be disemboweled.

But Huai Weilou rubs his hands together excitedly. "This is right up my alley. Watch me craft talismans by hand and send those ghosts straight to hell!"

As a new player, Huai Weilou exploits loopholes in the System while cheerfully pulling outrageous stunts, shouting things like, "Zombies are corpses too! I'll slap talismans on all of you and string you together so you can bounce around!" His antics catch the attention of Ji Shiyu, a supernatural administrator.

No one has ever seen Ji Shiyu's true face. They only say this supernatural administrator is bloodthirsty and devious, with a smile that hides a knife. He is deeply calculating and ruthless, and not one player he sets his sights on has ever left an instance alive.

Huai Weilou and Ji Shiyu can't stand each other. You sabotage me in an instance, and I'll make sure something goes wrong at work for you. Neither of us is going to have an easy time!

Everyone waits for Ji Shiyu to do what he has done to players before and tear Huai Weilou limb from limb. Instead:

Jiang Shiliu is a Celestial Master, but he's bound to a farmstay System. He starts with a barren mountain and a list of tasks that all seem impossible:

"Hire and train twenty employees for the farmstay within forty-eight hours. If you fail, you'll receive 'Rumbling Thunder' today."

And so, a handsome, wealthy... male ghost suddenly appears beside Jiang Shiliu.

According to Heaven, the male ghost is a local Ghost King named Pei Ji, whom it has brought in to be Jiang Shiliu's husband as compensation.

Pei Ji's arrival gives Jiang Shiliu an idea:

Grow twenty mu of vegetables on a barren mountain in twenty-four hours?

Easy. Jiang Shiliu takes out a stack of fertile-soil talismans and growth-accelerating talismans. By morning, endless crops cover what had been a barren wasteland, and the farmstay is open for business.

Hire twenty employees for the farmstay?

Easy. Jiang Shiliu uses a ghost-controlling spell. The pay is so good that wild ghosts compete for the chance to work themselves to the bone for him. During the trial run, customers report that it's nice and cool even without air conditioning, and the staff are quick on their feet. The reviews are glowing.

As the farmstay business flourishes, Jiang Shiliu runs it with all the talismans and spells he's learned, while watching his Ghost King husband act like "Pei the Exploiter," driving hundreds of ghosts to work for him.

After making a fortune and getting all sorts of goodies out of the System, Jiang Shiliu lets out a sigh. "Farming is the best!"
