[Genshin Impact] After I Died, Venti Went Mad

Fruier is an unfortunate transmigrator, and he transmigrated as a baby. Only halfway through his remaining life did he realize he was facing imminent death, because he'd transmigrated into the nameless boy who was Venti's friend.

Fruier: It's fine, it's fine. So what if my life is short? There's still time. I can try to save myself.

As it turns out, not only does he wait at home for Venti to show up uninvited and even take human form, he's also shocked to discover that Zhongli has come along too.

The plot has gone completely off course. Fruier is thoroughly bewildered as the two powerful figures close in on him from either side. He curls up like a quail, peeking around nervously with only his eyes showing.

Zhongli calmly sips his tea, though his gaze toward Venti is not quite so serene, and carries a hint of warning.

Venti gives Zhongli a smile that doesn't reach his eyes and raises his cup.

Fruier, who has no idea what's going on, looks up. So, are they still going to fight for freedom?

Sunlight filters through the leaves, waking the poet who sleeps among them. Venti comes to his senses and realizes he's back in the endless snow. Following the melody of a lyre imprinted deep in his soul, Venti wanders through the wind barrier and finds the boy playing beside a tree. The boy looks just the same, and gazes at him with surprise.

This time, I'll save you.

I will.

But why has the process changed, while the ending remains the same?

This body is frail and weak. With tears in his eyes, Venti is powerless to save him and can only watch the boy die before him once again.

At the moment he becomes a god, Venti gives up everything and chooses to turn back time.

Again and again, he loops through time. In the end, time itself delivers an invisible blow that breaks him, as if mocking him: rules are rules, and they cannot be defied.

At last, he goes mad.

+++ A mountain of headcanons.

+++ That's right, they both transmigrate! The protagonist comes from the modern era, while Venti travels from the future to the past.
