I Only Want Your Academic Skills

Yao Ci worked himself half to death on his thesis. With no other choice, he used his forum administrator privileges to contact a leading researcher in a related field and ask for help with a few questions.

At first, he thought he had found a wonderful person. The expert could be blunt, but was willing to teach him how to find and read papers and analyze data. Apart from making a few more voice calls than usual, nothing seemed strange.

Until one day, the expert asked him to record an audio clip to help him fall asleep.

Yao Ci was reminded of some deeply embarrassing memories.

He did not believe the other man simply wanted to use his recording as a sleep aid this time, and decided to teach him a lesson.

How hard could it be to sweet-talk a pervert? He could do that.

He used honeyed words to make the other man happy and took advantage of him to work on his thesis.

After finishing the thesis, he cleverly coaxed the man's identity out of him, planning to expose the pervert.

Instead, he discovered that not only had he misunderstood the man, but that the expert was someone he absolutely could not afford to offend.

Terrified, he blocked him in the middle of the night, changed his profile picture and account, and did his best to keep his pitiful secret identity under wraps.

Teng Siyi was a rising star in academia. At twenty-nine, he had already been appointed a full professor. People called him a research maniac, a paper-producing machine, and a robot without feelings.

On the surface, he was an unsmiling, cold, and unapproachable research expert.

But no one knew that he was a voice fetishist who had simply never found a voice he liked best.

One day, a forum administrator contacted him and asked questions that seemed simple and foolish to him.

He had not wanted to answer, if not for the fact that he happened to hear the other man's voice.

At first, he simply liked that voice. Then, without realizing it, he crossed the line.

Just as he was considering asking the other man to meet, he suddenly found himself blocked on every platform.

He tried everything, but could not find the forum administrator. Then, one day, while giving a talk at a university, he heard a voice exactly like the forum administrator's.

The younger man takes advantage of his own strengths to ask others for help, but only with things he does not understand. He writes his thesis himself and does not engage in any academic fraud. If this bothers you, please do not read.
