After Dr. Zhong Lost His Memory

Rans Si always thought his husband, Dr. Zhong, was gentle and refined, a perfect gentleman.

That is, until the day Dr. Zhong lost his memory...

Having lost the past two years of his memories, Dr. Zhong is guarded and cold toward Rans Si. Yet when Rans Si draws close and gently caresses him, he can barely restrain his body's desire.

Dr. Zhong knows that his body remembers the man in front of him.

Facing her amnesiac husband, Rans Si patiently comforts him and slowly draws closer. Just when things finally start to work...

Dr. Zhong gets his memories back.

After his memories return, Rans Si hears Dr. Zhong ask in a quiet, distant voice, "Do you love him more?"

Rans Si: ?

Aren't you the same person?

Rans Si thinks it's a good thing that Dr. Zhong got his memories back, since then they can both get on with their lives normally.

But a few days later, Dr. Zhong loses his memory again, and Rans Si has to repeat the whole process.

After going around in circles a few times, Rans Si is exhausted. Whoever he loves, he doesn't love either of them anymore. He just wants to lie flat and give up.

Content warnings:

Same-sex marriage is legal in this setting. They marry first and fall in love later; Dr. Zhong loses his memory after they marry through a blind date.

1v1, happy ending.

It's the same person from beginning to end. He keeps bouncing between losing his memory and getting it back.

Don't ask me for the medical explanation. That's just how the setting works.
