Cuddling Is Just for the Mission, So Don't Come Any Closer

Jiang Yanyu never thought he'd catch the transmigrate-into-a-book trend, especially with a System thrown in for free. The System can't speak and offers no rewards. It only shocks him if he fails to do his tasks, and seems to be a knockoff of some notorious company.

[Daily Tasks: 1. Interact with an important character: 0%/100%

2. Protect an important character

Permanent Tasks: 1. Deduce your identity

2. Survive until you get into college]

The System expects him to protect important characters. It really doesn't treat the life of an NPC like his as a life at all. First it has him feed blood to the vampire at the desk in front of him, then smooth the fur of his werewolf classmate, and he also has to keep an eye on his sickly deskmate at all times. Wait, shouldn't the protagonist's love interest be the one caring for the protagonist? Why is an NPC like him being made to do it?

Every day, Jiang Yanyu diligently clocks in on his daily tasks, doing his utmost to protect the physical and mental well-being of every classmate. He's practically worn himself out worrying about them. And yet, he still keeps getting cornered one after another.

The vampire at the desk in front: "Why are you such a flirt? You tempt me to bite you, and then you go after that dog too?"

The werewolf classmate: "Yanyu, what's so great about that mosquito? He's so cold. I can let you touch my tail and ears."

The succubus behind him: "Jiangjiang, why are you always looking at that sickly guy? Am I not pretty? I can even make you feel really good~"

Of course, the most manipulative one is his sickly protagonist-love-interest deskmate. Every day he acts like he's on the verge of death and asks Jiang Yanyu to do this and that for him, then takes the opportunity to touch his waist and pinch his butt. But whenever danger strikes, he's always there to save him.

Every student in the class has a special identity. So, what's yours?

"Han Nianjiang, what's your special identity?"

His eyes narrowed behind his red hair, and he gave a rather roguish smile.

"My special identity is that I love you, Xiao Jiang."

Theme: I crossed time to love you.
