Lost in the Apocalypse

At first, people thought it was just an ordinary typhoon. But no one could have imagined that unknown creatures emerging from the ocean, endless rainstorms, cities swallowed by the sea, and a frigid winter would bring the apocalypse crashing down on this blue planet.

Creatures shaped like sharks but with spiny legs, fish heads on foul-smelling human bodies, and the giant monster Leviathan, previously seen only in works of fiction: humanity’s very survival is at stake.

Chu Changci was just an ordinary office worker. The childhood fantasy of becoming a savior had been worn away by the gradually mundane life of adulthood. When the apocalypse came, all she could do was hide with her best friend in an apartment building and hope the country would send in rescuers from the sky.

But no one could have imagined that the letter from an owl, which had been meant for her when she was eleven, would arrive on her twenty-fourth birthday. A fish tail covered in scales, eyes that glimmered with eerie light, and a voice like heavenly music: from fearing the torrential rain to embracing the ocean.
