[Ouran High School Host Club] I Have a Fear of Men, but Now I'm Surrounded by the Host Club

Mochizuki Aya has a severe fear of men.

Whenever any man comes within a hundred meters of her, her heart starts pounding, her breathing turns ragged, her stomach churns, and she feels awful all over.

In other words, in her eyes, men are human-shaped cockroaches.

After she transmigrates, her family elders transfer her from Lobelia to Ouran Academy, and she realizes she may have become an unnamed background character in a famous shoujo manga.

You know, the kind who screams about how handsome, beautiful, rich, and charming the protagonists are when they show up, while serving as part of the atmosphere squad. She doesn't even have a name.

The manga is set at an elite school. Apart from the scholarship girl heroine, even the NPCs are all rich and important.

So Mochizuki Aya goes from an ordinary pauper who has to work three jobs a day just to scrape by to the only daughter of an obscenely wealthy conglomerate family.

Just as Mochizuki Aya is savoring her wonderful rich-girl life while condemning her own moral decline, she accidentally opens the door to Music Room Three, and begins the most terrifying relationship of her life.

"Welcome! This is the Ouran Academy Host Club."

So. Many. Men.

Mochizuki Aya feels like she's about to faint.

Then, even more terrifyingly, an electronic voice sounds in her ear.

[Ding! Congratulations, our dear little... ahem... little Host, you've triggered the Pure and Passionate Friendship System! Your friendship targets have been locked onto every member of the Ouran Academy Host Club. Please interact with them as soon as possible and work toward building happy school friendships! The System believes in you! XOXO (≧▽≦)/]

And then...

The Host Club falls silent as they watch the girl scream, roar, execute a Thomas the Tank Engine spin, and run away at top speed.

System: [Little Host, are you really not going to do your tasks? Really? (っ╥╯﹏╰╥c)]

Mochizuki Aya: ...I must refuse. And don't call me little Host.

System: [But if you keep failing to complete your tasks, your friendship points will drop, and you'll be punished! (O_O)]

Mochizuki Aya: What kind of punishment?

System: [From then on, everything you eat will taste like green peppers. ←_←]

Mochizuki Aya, food lover and sworn enemy of green peppers: ...

"As king of the Host Club, it was my fault for making such a beautiful girl uncomfortable. May I have the honor of inviting you back to the Host Club so we can treat you properly, my lovely little moon?"

"My dear princess."

"Whoosh!"

"Wow, the boss just got kicked flying!"

["Then please enjoy your new life, free to live as you wish."]

Reader's Guide:

1. A warm, healing story, with lots of everyday banter and humor. The focus is on the heroine's personal growth and self-acceptance, as well as her friendship(?) and bonds with the Host Club members.

2. The pairing isn't decided yet. I'll follow the story wherever it goes. There may or may not be changes to the canon pairings. There will probably be a love triangle (the comedic kind, since the author loves those), though it might end up with no pairing at all.

3. The heroine is a man-fearing, sharp-tongued powerhouse who is stubborn and self-centered. She grows over the course of the story. At first, she'll be hostile toward all men, because she genuinely has PTSD. If you're an extreme character fan, this isn't for you. Please don't attack the characters. The headcanons are mine; any OOC characterization is my responsibility.
