An unexpected guest suddenly appears at home: breathtakingly beautiful, with a questionable mental state.

She claims to be a noble princess from some dynasty, won’t even look commoners in the eye, and keeps shouting “How dare you!” at the slightest provocation. She’s quite noisy.

Out of the goodness of her heart, Gan Xun takes in the homeless woman and does everything she can to comfort her, giving her whatever she wants and keeping her company day and night.

She never expects the ancient woman to adapt better than she does.

One day after work, a glamorous woman in slim high heels and a spaghetti-strap dress is standing outside her office, her hair dyed and styled like a trendy fashionista.

She’s chatting and laughing with someone who’s hitting on her, exchanging contact information.

Gan Xun is jealous. She’s furious.

She grabs the woman and drags her away, only to be called a hidebound traditionalist.

That night, she takes her over and over until she begs for mercy. Only then is Gan Xun satisfied. “Lewd? Wanton? Say a couple more things. I like hearing them.”

In truth, Gan Xun worries about many things.

She worries that the woman won’t be able to return, and that she’ll suddenly go back. She worries that the woman doesn’t love her, and that she can only depend on Gan Xun here, mistaking dependence for love.

She fears that their happiness will vanish in an instant, yet is too selfish to let go.

Zhao Chiyun, Princess of Qinghe, has enjoyed all the splendor and luxury life can offer, adored by everyone. She has only two regrets in life:

First, she confessed her love and was rejected simply because they were both women.

Second, she was chased by assassins, accidentally fell into a lake, and ended up in a strange place.

Meeting Gan Xun is a stroke of luck.

Having been rejected by a woman before, she doesn’t dare break through that barrier between them.

She doesn’t know when she’ll return, so she dares not make promises, and she knows Gan Xun doesn’t trust her.

After falling for each other, they hug, kiss, and tumble into bed, but neither dares hope that this relationship will become the other’s true home.

When Zhao Chiyun fell into the lake, the person she loved was beside her and had met the same fate. When they reunite one day, the other woman, open-minded in her thinking, is the one who asks her to be together.

Gan Xun finds out and generously says she’ll let go, then secretly hides away to cry.

“Has the saying ‘A good horse doesn’t eat old grass’ been lost on you people?”

She smiles as she wipes away the tears.

Then, with a hint of tenderness, she says, “Don’t push me away again.”
