Love of Food

Most people in the world are ordinary humans. Only a very small number are Forks or Cakes.

Cakes are humans who are born innately "delicious."

To Forks in particular, Cakes are like the finest cakes imaginable. Everything about them, inside and out, including their blood, flesh, tears, and [REDACTED], is delicious food.

Cakes cannot tell that they are Cakes. So unless they encounter a Fork, neither they nor the ordinary people around them will ever discover what they are.

Forks have no sense of taste. To them, Cakes are the only thing that can give them a taste of anything, like sweet, delicious cake.

Living in a tasteless world, they develop an instinctive craving as soon as they encounter a Cake, longing to devour every last part of them.

In this story's setting, Forks are called Kings, and Cakes are called Queens.

Theme: Love makes the timid brave and brings the proud to their knees.
