I'm Not a Ginseng?!

To pay for her grandmother's treatment, Jiang Zhao went up the mountain alone in search of a hundred-year-old ginseng root.

The doctor at the clinic said his grandmother was suffering from severe blood deficiency and blood stasis, and needed a wild ginseng root over a hundred years old to be cured. But Jiang Zhao had no money and couldn't afford the clinic's ginseng, so he had to go dig one up himself.

The ginseng spirit Luo Lian was moved by Jiang Zhao's filial devotion. He pulled off a few of his own rootlets and handed them to Jiang Zhao, telling him to hurry and save his grandmother.

But Jiang Zhao refused again and again.

"Why won't you take them? I'm a ginseng spirit who's lived for over three hundred years. I'm more than enough to treat your grandmother," Luo Lian said, puzzled.

Jiang Zhao sighed and shook his head. "Thank you for your generosity, Brother Luo, but you're not a ginseng spirit. You're a radish spirit."

Luo Lian was stunned. "You foul mortal, how dare you lie! How could I possibly be a radish that makes people pass stinky gas?"
