On her way home from a party at three in the morning, Chen Chen is attacked by a monster. After narrowly escaping with her life, she picks up a modified human who doesn’t belong in this era.

He says he has amnesia and only remembers that he came from the future and needs to find an important person who will change the world. But he remembers only the last syllable of the target’s name: CHEN.

It matches Chen Chen’s name.

Chen Chen decides that the target must be her and takes him in.

They squeeze into her tiny rental apartment. The bed is too small for the modified human, and he doesn’t really need to sleep anyway, but he learns to lie by her bed like a person, like a little dog.

She thinks he is a gift from heaven.

She falls in love with him.

But later, as the modified human gradually recovers his memories, the way he looks at her changes too.

It turns out the target of his mission isn’t her. It’s someone else.

The modified human, now aware of who his real master is, abandons her without mercy, as if kicking away a dog.

I hate you.
