After a Straight Man Is Forced to Marry a Psycho Top

Ning He, the legitimate son of an old and prestigious family, bears the responsibility of restoring his clan. He had planned to enter government through the imperial examinations, but he was born into an age of chaos, with warlords ruling their own territories and the imperial authority in decline.

When the path of the examinations was closed, the Ning family decided to wager on a powerful, valiant rebel leader, hoping to win merit by backing the future ruler.

Their chosen bet was Cheng Yuan, a rough commoner who couldn't read a single character. He was a formidable military commander who had never lost a battle and seemed likely to emerge victorious in the struggle for power.

But this rebel leader was so brazenly lustful that he proposed an alliance through marriage to the Ning family. The intended spouse was the family's legitimate son, Ning He.

To restore his family, Ning He chose to marry Cheng Yuan. On their wedding night, he earnestly asked, "Let me serve as your strategist."

To his surprise, Cheng Yuan agreed.

But from then on, Cheng Yuan treated him extremely well. By the time Ning He came to his senses, Cheng Yuan had already turned him over and over, cooked him again and again, and slept with him again and again.

Ning He: "..."

In his previous life, Cheng Yuan was betrayed by his trusted aide and ended up being beheaded. But just before he died, Ning He took pity on him and brought him a bowl of rice, so he wouldn't die hungry.

After being reborn, Cheng Yuan repaid kindness with betrayal. All he could think about was marrying Ning He and holding him in his arms. So he broke up Ning He and his childhood friend, stole Ning He away, and then tried to claim his heart, too.

He's a terrible person, but he's having the time of his life.

#The history of a male mistress (in the gong's imagination)

#How does the newcomer win? By being a brooding simp who fights, schemes, goes crazy, and begs for love

#30% dark and brooding, 40% mad dog, 60% simp

#The shou has a straight man's mindset and is naturally slow on the uptake

A few more things to know:

1. Shou's POV. A straight-thinking, honest, kind, lively, and straightforward shou × a clingy, dark, twisted, obsessive gong

2. A short, sweet story written to indulge my tastes. Please add it to your collection!

3. Both are each other's first and only. The shou is very much a straight man, somewhat gentle and refined, and this is a bottom-over-top story (x). The gong is genuinely a lackey, illiterate and unable to recognize even the simplest characters, but he'll learn to read later.
