I Have No Choice but to Be My Idol's Wife

Chi He was a die-hard fan of the powerful minister Gu Yan. After getting into a three-hundred-round online battle with haters who called Gu Yan a treacherous usurper, he transmigrated.

He became the illegitimate son of a wealthy merchant in ancient Jiangnan. His father didn't care for him, and his mother didn't love him. All they gave him was more money than he could spend in a lifetime.

He had planned to lie flat, but soon Chi He realized that he had transmigrated into the dynasty where his idol Gu Yan lived. He immediately sprang into action.

His idol Gu Yan's family had fallen on hard times when he was young. His parents died, and his cousin seized his inheritance and drove him from the family home. He slept rough in the wind and cold, and his only sister died of illness on the street. He'd been a beggar fighting dogs for scraps and a stable hand trampled by others, clawing his way up from the lowest rung until he eventually became a regent whose power shook the court.

Chi He did the math. At this point, his idol Gu Yan was only thirteen and still working as a stable hand at a wealthy merchant's estate. He immediately rushed to bring his idol out. Seeing that Gu Yan was skin and bones, so thin he looked as if a single punch would send his soul to the afterlife, Chi He burst into tears.

He solemnly declared that from then on, he would be his idol's dad-fan!

Chi He began stuffing his idol with meat, eggs, milk, and vegetables, making sure his diet was balanced. He'd make his idol plump, tall, and handsome!

He went on a shopping spree for the best and prettiest clothes, dressing his idol up to look absolutely gorgeous and like a future heartthrob!

He found the best tutors for his idol. One wasn't enough, so he hired ten at once. His idol would surely become a literary genius to rival the finest writers in the history books!

He kept showering his idol with...

Chi He poured money into Gu Yan until he was utterly bewildered. At last, Gu Yan couldn't help asking, "What are you after?"

Chi He's eyes filled with deep affection. "I'm just an ordinary dad-fan. My only wish is for my son to achieve greatness, make his mark in history, and be remembered for generations!"

That's right. He was Gu Yan's pure, devoted career fan!

Gu Yan: "..."

Later, Gu Yan achieved everything Chi He had wished for and became the youngest grand secretary in the history of the dynasties. Chi He was moved to tears, believing his work was done. He could now step back and quietly watch his idol Gu Yan soar to success and make his mark in history.

But when he turned around, he saw Gu Yan's grand wedding procession. Dressed in red wedding robes, Gu Yan sat atop a tall, fine steed and smiled at him.

Chi He: "..."

Wait, what? There's no wife-fan option!! QAQ
