Undercurrent

Meng Ning and Cen Heting were the entertainment industry's two top-tier stars, a pairing fans loved to ship. They had never crossed paths since their debuts, barely interacted, and were rarely seen together, until the platform finally confirmed that they would star in the big New Year drama together.

Their already sizable ship fandom immediately surged to the top, eagerly hoping the two would fall in love while filming.

But after the show aired,

the two still kept their distance whenever they appeared together onstage, putting on a live show of "we barely know each other."

The ship fans across the internet were devastated.

No one noticed that, inside a van after an event that night, the supposedly distant pair were kissing, speaking softly as their breaths mingled, warm and heady.

Later, Cen Heting joined a livestream at an event.

The host asked him to call the first number in his contacts. The saved name was AAA.

Everyone was wondering who AAA could be when the call connected and a voice familiar to the entire country came through, thick with sleep. "Hello?"

"Hubby~"
