Inside Dazai's Mind

Here's the situation: I'm a System.

My previous Host spent all day hiding in corners and plotting schemes, doing every kind of evil deed. I really didn't want to keep working overtime, so I found a chance to set him free, I mean, break our connection.

Now I'm facing a massive crisis:

[A countdown has appeared above my head]

[If I don't bind myself to a new Host before it runs out, I'll be destroyed]

Damn it! This makes no sense!

When I started this job, none of my seniors told me about this rule!

Whatever. The most urgent thing is to find a Host and bind to them so I can survive.

That tall, slender guy with the almond-shaped eyes up ahead looks promising. He seems gentle and kind, fresh and cheerful. He must be a wonderful person who loves life and living!

All right, here I go!

Sorry, I was a little loud just now. How do I change the unbinding password? He's locked it.

I really need a new Host.

What is the difference between a human and a machine?

Is it romance that isn't efficient enough, or the optimal solution of always staying rational?

The intelligent agent before him seems to be neither.

Dazai is a little curious.

If an intelligent agent isn't AI enough, nor human enough, then what exactly is she, and where will she end up?

Until the answer comes, he'll keep watching her.

And what about after the answer?

Dazai smiled, with no intention of answering.

After all, she won't have any other Hosts.

1. Third-person narration. The heroine is obviously an AI (?), but she's far too human.

2. A sweet romance, pairing with Dazai.

3. The setting is unconstrained and serves the plot. Please don't nitpick.

4. The cover is a free icon by the artist No-copy-ra.

Theme: There are still more good people in the world.
