Myriad Worlds App

A year after graduation, Bai Xia still hasn't found a job. She's down to surviving on a hundred yuan for a whole month.

One day, she downloads the Myriad Worlds app for five yuan, a reward for new users, only to discover that browsing, commenting, and posting videos on the app can all earn her money!

Maybe because the app is so generous with its payouts, it's full of weirdos doing bizarre stunts.

Streamer [Lord of All Things]: This is the third world I've created. This time, I'm going to try out a mechanical civilization.

Bai Xia: By creating a mechanical civilization, do you mean playing an electronic sandbox game?

Streamer [Your Male Succubus Will Love You Forever]: Today, I'll show you how to max out a difficult boss's affection in a chat app in one hour.

Bai Xia: ...How did a relationship guru end up trying to seduce a boss?

Streamer [I'm the Hero]: You have to believe in the power of love and conviction! As long as you stay optimistic and positive, Heaven will give you everything.

Bai Xia: What the hell is wrong with you? Are you saying I'm in this mess because I'm not optimistic and positive enough?

Bai Xia settles right into the app. She fights tooth and nail for the five-yuan rewards for daily sign-ins and comments, relentlessly trashing the inspirational influencer in his comments, again and again.

Then one day...

The hero she'd been trashing for three months crawls out of her phone.

Bai Xia and the golden retriever stare into each other's eyes.

She lets out a pained howl. "I thought you were all just doing bits! Who knew you were actually using your real identities online?!"

This is going to be a blast.

Now the hero has crawled out to beat her up.

The Creator says he's coming to ask her for tips on creating worlds.

The male succubus says he wants to meet up with her and discuss selling courses and milking his followers for money...

Bai Xia's vision goes dark. She's convinced her end is near.
