The Bamboo Spirit Is Still Trying to Play the Part Today

Wen Yuli was the only green bamboo in the Purple Bamboo Forest. Thinking he'd always been excluded, he was driven out as soon as he successfully took human form.

Fortunately, a System found him, saving him from ending up homeless.

He clenched his fist and promised, "Don't worry. I'll do my best to be a villain."

Then he put on a masterclass in how the harder you try, the more heartbreaking it gets.

Wen Yuli: Am I still not bad enough?

He sadly buried himself in the dirt, then sprouted tender bamboo shoots to feed his mount.

Red panda, AKA the nine-banded civet: Squeak? I'm the mount?

[Research Bigwig]

System: "The protagonist is an impoverished researcher who gets bullied by his colleagues early on. As someone with connections, you're the worst bully of them all..."

Wen Yuli marched over and slapped the protagonist's lunchbox out of his hands.

The protagonist only gets two days off a month, so Wen Yuli made him cover his shift.

When the protagonist made a breakthrough, Wen Yuli stole it and put his own name on it...

"I've been evil enough, right?" Wen Yuli asked the System, full of confidence.

Just then, the protagonist came over, tossed him the last top-grade protective suit, and led him to fight their way out.

Wen Yuli: (⊙_⊙?)

[Reborn Movie Emperor]

System: "The protagonist is a movie emperor reborn into the body of an extra. You're a supporting character who rides on the late movie emperor's fame and puts down obscure actors..."

On the movie emperor's death anniversary, Wen Yuli posted a long tribute.

Then, in passing, he claimed that the movie emperor's most hated dish was his favorite.

On a variety show with the reborn movie emperor, Wen Yuli let loose: "What kind of acting is that? It's so awkward."

Behind his back (actually right in front of him), he gossiped: "How is every chubby guy a diamond in the rough? I heard if you get too fat during puberty, your thing stays teeny-tiny..."

Wen Yuli: "Now they can insult me right out of show business, can't they?"

But the movie emperor, winner of every major award, cornered Wen Yuli backstage and took his hand, guiding it down.

"Want to see for yourself?"

The dedicated, old-fashioned actor had turned into a lecher.

Meanwhile, online:

If a giant panda likes you, you can't be a bad person, right?

[Apocalypse Strongman]

System: "The protagonist has rare psychic and healing abilities. You're the villain who shoves him into a horde of zombies to save yourself..."

Wen Yuli had just reached out to push him when the other man pulled him into his arms. "Don't be afraid. I'll protect you."
