The Beloved Little Fat Bird's Guide to Raising Birds

Jiujiao has a secret: she’s actually a little bird spirit who can breathe fire but can’t fly.

Her parents often lock her up and leave her hungry. Her bird brothers and sisters are the ones who bring her wild fruit to eat.

When she learns her parents are going to sell her, she says to a big eagle, “Will you take me away with you?”

Jiujiao makes up her mind: once she gets to the city, she’ll collect scrap to sell and buy them delicious food!

But Jiujiao never gets the chance to collect scrap.

After the news about her goes viral, a CEO, an award-winning actor, a painter, a professor… all show up in front of Jiujiao, claiming to be her biological father and saying they’ll take her home.

Jiujiao, confused and torn, says, “I’ll pick whoever agrees to help me raise birds as my dad.”

Behind her appear a saker falcon, a green peafowl, a golden pheasant… and a whole host of protected birds that could land you in prison for keeping them.

The prospective dads: ! You absolutely cannot keep those!

Jiujiao doesn’t know who her biological father is, but she finds out that her mother, Ji Qingyue, is a famous star.

Their matching golden eyes, and faces that look fifty or sixty percent alike, made even cuter by Jiujiao’s smaller size, instantly turn the fans who vanished after Ji Qingyue retired from show business into Jiujiao’s devoted fans.

Numerous directors, producers, and talent agencies also send invitations.

Jiujiao: I’m in!

Now I can afford to raise birds!

The birds she raises say: We raised this little one ourselves, so we’ll just have to go along with it.

Besides, our Jiujiao doesn’t need wingless humans to protect her

At kindergarten, the brat who pulled Jiujiao’s hair gets a head full of bird poop.

On a show, a greasy male celebrity makes a dirty joke to Jiujiao: “Your name is Ji Xiaojiu. Do you also have a brother named Ji B…”

Then a swan pecks him in a certain tender spot.

A female star who wants to be Jiujiao’s stepmother accuses her of breaking her bracelet, then magnanimously says she forgives her. Just then, a parrot imitates her voice perfectly: “I still have to deal with that little burden…”
