The Years I Spent Running a Shop in the Historical Fiction World

After saving the worlds of old-fashioned romance novels, the patriarchs who had endured all sorts of torment in those stories decided to open an all-purpose interplanar shop together. They would save their counterparts who were suffering through the same old-fashioned stories and, along the way, resolve some of history's lingering regrets.

And so, in a region filled with worlds of old-fashioned historical fanfiction on the brink of destruction, a Dream-Fulfilling Golden House suddenly appeared. It sold all kinds of golden fingers and also offered commissions, promising to solve all sorts of difficult problems.

But the shop wandered between reality and illusion. Only those with a destined connection could enter.

Qin Shi Huang's world

Ying Zheng, who would fall in love at first sight with a princess sent to marry for peace and later become jealous of his ministers over her, received a bullet-comment golden finger. A string of comments from later generations appeared over every person he saw.

After being bombarded with spoilers and all sorts of informative hints, Ying Zheng declared, “Love only gets in the way of expanding my territory and governing the country!”

The princess sent to marry for peace: ???

Where did all my suitors go?

Emperor Wu of Han's world

The woman Liu Che fell in love with liked Wei Qing and was also entangled with Huo Qubing. In the future, this low-born but breathtakingly beautiful woman would torment him with heartbreak, until he chose her over his empire. But now Liu Che received a workaholic System that required him to diligently devote himself to work every day, reject romance, and strive to get ahead.

As his workload kept growing until he was swept up in the grind, Liu Che declared, “Love only gets in the way of my work and keeps me from completing tasks and earning rewards, expanding my territory, and governing the country!”

The lady-killer: ???

Where did my tangled love triangle go?

Emperor Taizong of Tang's world

Li Shimin, who would eventually fall in love with his elder brother's wife, kill his brother and younger sibling, and force his father to abdicate so he could marry his widowed sister-in-law with a clear conscience and silence the whole realm, received an otome System. Every day, he had to choose between a series of options.

Beset by bizarre choices that left him at a loss and sweating profusely, Li Shimin declared, “Love only gets in the way of expanding my territory and conquering the world!”

The widowed sister-in-law: ???

Where did my grand forbidden romance go?

Wu Zetian's world

Wu Zetian would one day fall in love with a male favorite who had transmigrated into this world, become the story's villainess, and be used and deceived. Imprisoned in the palace, she would watch him ascend the throne and gather the realm's beauties into his harem, while she herself died a miserable death. Now, she received a villainess System.

Told by a modern villainess System that she was the queen and should let her work shine, Wu Zetian declared, “Love only slows down my expansion and my conquest of the world!”

The man who transmigrated: ???

Where did my powerful patron and stepping stone go?

Emperor Taizu of Ming's world

Zhu Yuanzhang would one day lose his wife and children to illness, begin killing his ministers in a fit of madness, then be struck down first by a certain son who had transmigrated into the past. Instead, he obtained a Pinduoduo System and embarked on a group-buying journey of “If we're brothers, give me a chop!”

The more people who gave him a chop, the cheaper he could buy an item. Zhu Yuanzhang declared, “Going mad will only stop me from saving my wife and children. If we're brothers, come help me get a chop!”

The rest is undecided. The blurb might change too, depending on whether inspiration strikes when I start writing.
