Main story complete. Extra-long bonus chapters in progress (fist bump) [Before you read]: We’ve found a little main plot among all the daily life. Updates drop between 9 p.m. and midnight each night. I’ll take a day off if something comes up. I’d been an ordinary person for over twenty years when a talking fox tried to scam me by the river. The ugly-cute fox, who called itself Konnosuke, claimed I had spiritual powers and was practically chosen by fate. I was apparently perfect for the job of a sword-wielding spirit’s master at the Time Government. Not to be rude, but only an elementary schooler would fall for a scam like that. Me: What’s the salary and benefits like? It turns out that when an HR rep is suspiciously enthusiastic, there’s a 99 percent chance the job is a trap. Unfortunately, I wasn’t the lucky one percent. Konnosuke must have accidentally left out the “corrupted sword spirit” part of the job title, right? (smiles) Konnosuke: We can pay you more, Master qaq! Me, already inside the Honmaru: What are you waiting for over there? Get over here and do my onboarding paperwork. Far into the future, thanks to my diligent, day-and-night, head-down grinding, the once-chaotic Honmaru was completely transformed. No one looking at it now could tell it had once been a battlefield of corrupted swords. I think I finally found my reason for being here. “Master! Stop daydreaming and come play Fight the Landlord with us!” Hah. I’m going to beat every last one of you into the ground. ※ I reliably update daily. I want to write a long story about healing each other, set mainly in the game Touken Ranbu -ONLINE-, with a little Demon Slayer crossover. The whole story is in first person, with a snarky heroine who occasionally does stand-up comedy (not really). The main story has no pairings. Bonus chapters have 1v1 endings, as well as a platonic ending that isn’t 1v1. There won’t be any lifespan-related angst (take note). The author’s note for Chapter One has detailed content warnings.
