Jason considered himself a veteran player and rarely rewound the game to start over.
But this f**king game called Life in Gotham was impossible without rewinding, and even rewinding didn't help.
He should have figured that out while he was frantically rewinding to pry the Batmobile's wheels off, only to get caught every time and forced through the story.
But unfortunately, he didn't.
He even got adopted after being caught over and over, then angrily trying and failing to whack Batman, whose health bar had appeared, with a wrench.
So when Jason was frantically rewinding again and still couldn't avoid getting stuffed into a coffin in a Joker-scripted death, he couldn't help cursing out loud.
He swore that was the dirtiest he'd ever cursed in his life.
After the game thoughtfully let Jason briefly watch the story where his old Bat Dad broke down and wanted to kill the Joker,
Jason, with mixed feelings, sent the game a complaint letter suggesting it be renamed Tenacious Joker. He meant the Joker's "grit": Jason had once beaten him so badly in a rewind that he couldn't get out of bed for at least a month, yet he still found new ways to kill Jason.
After spending three minutes thinking it over, Jason decided to comfort his traumatized old Bat Dad once he came back to life.
Unfortunately, plans never keep up with change.
After coming back to life, Jason was forced through another story and switched to a new map.
He'd meant to refuse, since he'd spent all night thinking up ways to comfort someone, only to be told he was switching maps.
But Jason discovered that the new map had a healing point and unlocked a character-building system.
So he could only apologize to his dad back in Gotham. He'd be home a little later.
Jason got so caught up in raising his character that right after learning how to mix baby formula, he turned around and saw that the kid an important NPC had entrusted to him could already run around and slash people with a knife.
Jason was amazed and deeply pleased. So this was what raising a character was like?
Exploring a new map always had a time limit, and in the end Jason still had to say goodbye to the kid the important NPC had left in his care and return to Gotham.
Then the player, ready to give his old Bat Dad a comforting hug, discovered that things had changed.
The Joker was still alive. First, kill the Joker.
Note:
1. The player is Jason himself. He chooses every forced story event, but with very player-like motives: prying off the wheels because they sell for a lot, attacking Batman because his health bar appeared, looking for his birth mother because he wanted to unlock a new map, and so on. Also, his first frenzy of rewinding wasn't when he was prying the Batmobile's wheels off, but after his birth father was imprisoned and his mother died.
2. The Lazarus Pit's effect on the player is assumed to be only a negative debuff. He also has a negative debuff as soon as he comes back to life, which is why he raises Damian, but by the time Jason has just learned to mix baby formula, Damian can already slash people.
3. There will be OOC moments. There definitely will be. I'm not bashing anyone in the Batfamily. I love the Batfamily being close, and I'm already like this, so please just let me enjoy them being affectionate.
4. Although this is a player Jason, he's not the crazed, all-consuming disaster player type. He's just a little unconventional, bit by bit. The player only saw the story where old Bat Dad wanted to kill the Joker, not the later part where the Joker became a diplomatic envoy and Superman stopped him, so the player happily went off to explore a new map. That doesn't stop him from killing the Joker after he gets back.
5. This player Jason really loves prying off the Batmobile's wheels. When he's mad at someone, besides beating them up, he'll pry off the wheels and take the car apart. At Christmas, he'll even give away wheels as gifts to raise affection. He might run away from home if they won't let him pry off the wheels. Let's learn from Lego Bucket's great spirit. (He only sneaks out to do quests after being refused permission to go out.)
Theme: A love of affection
Life is a very precious thing. Jason will still choose to protect others, but he despises his own death because he can restart. This is Batman's reason to stop using his powers. I accept it. But I don't know what to say. Jason's life in the original work was not good. In the fanfic, he was given an extra skill but still couldn't escape his fate. He died so many times. Is this right? Is this right? 😭 Screenwriter, you have won. You have allowed Jason to die more times in the fanfic. Because he has already died in the plot, everyone is more daring to write about his death. Hahahahaha. What a fun thing. The left side of my brain is attacking the right side of my brain. Come and capture me, Batman, or I will turn into a clown and I will accept it [Glasses]
I was broken 💔 When I saw Zuo Hua, I suddenly had a very hellish idea, that is, Jason can seamlessly connect thirty million times of retracement through rewinding (sorry for sewing the chicken)
In that last paragraph, does it mean that the whole world is a huge second episode?
Suddenly I realized that there were a lot of missing mental activities, or thoughts, that seemed to belong to Jason. Is it because Jason still regards this world as a game world, and he and everything are just empty shells? And it seems that there is less and less pursuit of backtracking, or perfection. He is just completing the task list, but what about personal hobbies? I can't seem to tell, there's still no description (I'm afraid of burying the knife)
I've been crazy about playing games recently and forgot about Jason's birthday. I apologize. Damn it, I haven't visited lof in the past few days. If I were on it, I would definitely be able to brush up on Sheng He and I would be able to remember it [scared]
Oh…. Will there be an update?😭😭😭
Something's wrong, there won't be a big sword waiting for you in the follow-up plot [changed]
Teacher, has our Jason quit traveling 🤗
The memory won't be the best day of my life, right?
It was a misunderstanding, not a real breakup! Of course it's delicious even if we break up 🐶
