[Blurb]
1. Ji Chenzhou worked conscientiously all his life, and finally lost his reputation on the day his country was defeated.
At peace talks watched by countless people, the enemy nation's vicious general seemed intent on destroying his reputation once and for all.
No one could understand what kind of relationship would make him abandon the terms of the peace agreement and announce, under the gaze of the people of both nations, the absurd claim that all he wanted was Ji Chenzhou.
Even Ji Chenzhou himself was utterly surprised.
Until not long afterward, the other man pinned him down, holding both his hands as he forced him to feel the shudders the man brought him, again and again. Eyes red and brows furrowed, Ji Chenzhou cursed the man before him:
"You bastard. You sick freak."
The other man was clearly shameless. He took Ji Chenzhou's curses in stride, only smiling as he straightened Ji Chenzhou's dewy face and said something even harder for him to accept:
"Is it because I was created by you that you need to call me Daddy at a time like this?"
In an instant, a powerful sense of taboo and shame flooded Ji Chenzhou's mind, leaving him flustered and disoriented.
In a daze, he finally remembered that he had personally sown the seeds of all this.
2. Ji Chenzhou never expected that the bionic robot he had created and then personally abandoned would change its appearance and name, then return as a commander in the enemy army.
As an expert in bionics, no one knew the development process of bionic robots better than he did.
And no one knew better than him that the enemy nation's decorated general was actually a bionic being.
A replacement he had developed many years ago for a medical experiment.
A cold machine controlled by code, yet it was more passionate toward him than anyone could reasonably expect.
Heart icons suddenly invading his phone
Code carved of its own accord into its core to record his preferences
Those eager green eyes gazing obediently at him during experiments
Ji Chenzhou never responded, until one day the bionic being seemed to lose control and pinned him down for a kiss.
He could no longer keep his composure. After all, the bionic being's sex had been defined as male.
And by the time he confirmed that the bionic being had awakened to self-awareness, Ji Chenzhou had already become engrossed in its boundary-crossing behavior, even growing addicted to it.
Afraid of developing a strange kink, he hurriedly dumped it at a scrap-processing plant on the border of C Country.
In other words: abandonment.
3. Ji Chenzhou thought that after all the effort the bionic being had gone to in order to find him, it would do no more than kill him for revenge.
But when he looked up, he saw those narrow eyes shining with cunning, gazing at him for a long time.
After a long while, the bionic being smiled and blinked. Bending down beside the ears of the man who was about to bristle, it murmured an almost absurd request:
"Teach me to be the bottom, using your body."
Ji Chenzhou froze for a moment. If the other man intended to humiliate him this way, then he had certainly succeeded.
[Blurb for the Next Book]
On the day Lanxia was invested as Crown Prince, his archenemy Hezeli, who had taken enemy territory in three days, captured a city in five, and annexed the Northern Federation in thirteen, suddenly returned to the capital with his army.
This is no exaggeration: Lanxia wholeheartedly acknowledged his abilities.
But Hezeli had been at odds with him since childhood. He was also the emperor's adopted son and one of the heirs, so there was no way he had rushed back to celebrate Lanxia's appointment.
With the sash on his chest still untidied, Lanxia watched the old emperor go out to welcome the returning hero. Suddenly, as if his mind had opened, a sense of crisis surged through him.
Was Hezeli going to fight him for the throne?!
Lanxia pretended to look up casually, gazing down at the acclaimed protagonist as if from on high.
Hezeli's standard, permanently fixed smile and narrowed eyes were taken by Lanxia as a "provocation."
After all, he and Hezeli were the only ones in the entire empire who hadn't completed their secondary gender differentiation, and Hezeli was far more popular with the people than he was.
Lanxia secretly curled his lips and swore he would become an Alpha before Hezeli, so he could keep his throne.
Later, he did indeed differentiate as an Alpha, a noble serpent eagle and the purest bloodline of the imperial family.
Only, he differentiated on Hezeli's broad bed, right when he was preparing to make a move...
That wasn't the only humiliating part. He discovered that Hezeli was actually an unremarkable Beta.
He was the Alpha, the Crown Prince of the Empire, yet a Beta had him gasping for breath.
2. Lanxia lay in Hezeli's mansion for three full days before returning to the palace in a rage.
Even as he endured the discomfort, he kept thinking that this fellow clearly wanted him to die young so he could usurp the throne.
After turning it over and over in his mind, he was left with one last move: he might as well marry Hezeli.
An Alpha marrying a Beta was perfectly proper.
He couldn't possibly give up the throne, but the position of Crown Princess would suit Hezeli very well.
He never intended to make it happen, though. He only wanted to use the idea to warn Hezeli.
But the old emperor issued the decree at once, and Hezeli knelt at his feet and kissed his ring without a moment's hesitation.
From beginning to end, it all took less than a day.
Lanxia watched Hezeli, who had been decisive and ruthless on the battlefield and had always treated him with indifference, now looking at him with such tenderness that he nearly fainted in terror.
He'd fallen into a trap.
Hezeli didn't just want to inherit the throne. He wanted to inherit him, too.
[Reading Guide]
1. Non-typical nonhuman characters, multiple opposing factions on a single planet, no interstellar travel or mecha. A mountain of personal worldbuilding, written for my own enjoyment, and a grab bag of kinks.
2. One-on-one romance, happy ending. Plot? No, romance!
3. The love interest is a bionic robot, with the same touch and sensations as a human and all the usual functions. Pure fantasy, completely unrelated to reality. The reason he isn't recognized at first is that his face was damaged by machinery at the scrap plant.
4. Amateur writing. Everything serves the story, including the logic.
5. A clichéd reconciliation after a breakup, with a whole bowl of melodramatic tropes.
6. Adding this to make a nice round number (?˙▽˙?)
