Mistaking a Great Ghost for a Coworker

Cong Gui was born with yin-yang eyes, and he was born poor, too.

With jobs hard to find and barely enough food to fill his stomach, he applied to join the Ghost-Exorcism Bureau, despite being afraid of ghosts. The benefits were great, there were no office hours, and assignments were handed out online, making it ideal for someone with social anxiety.

On his first day, Cong Gui was assigned a Class D mission. The moment he saw the target, he was so stunned by its ugliness that his jaw dropped... Then the hideously terrifying big-headed ghost chased him all over the streets.

After that, the shrieking big-headed ghost stopped in the middle of the street and stared fearfully at the black-robed man who had appeared out of nowhere.

Cong Gui gazed brightly at the man who had driven off the big-headed ghost and helped him complete his beginner mission, earning him a bonus: What a kind and friendly coworker.

But his good coworker seemed to be new in town and had nowhere to go in the middle of the night. Cong Gui cautiously invited him to share an apartment, which would also help cover part of the rent.

And so, during the day, his good coworker slept in, and Cong Gui kept him company;

At night, Cong Gui went out to exorcise ghosts, and his good coworker came along.

Until one day, as he laughed and chased his good coworker down the street, he noticed the strange looks from passersby. That's when he realized that he was the only one who could see his good coworker.
